My liver was literally hanging on to dear life this week. The struggle is real and I decided it to be so. It was the Art Basel fair and the city was on fire. Despite me not being an educated art nerd, I love to go out, support some of the artists, watch the snazzy folks, and paint the town red. Mental clarity appeared in rare moments, but let’s be honest, we learned years ago that mentioned state of mind is highly overrated.
I might have an overdose of prosecco in my bloodstream, which I find to be like golden sparkles running through my veins. I’m not even complaining, sorry liver.
The aforementioned line wants me to bust into Robbie’s ‘Feel’ where love runs through his veins. It just ever gets old.
Hyperactive with unstable mental clarity. To my own amazement, I haven’t set my apartment on fire yet, I eat breakfast every day, I drive to work without getting lost and I train daily. Admittedly, I woke up 1-2 times this week with a series of question marks wildly strung together over my blurry head, wondering who I am, where I am, why this all is happening and whose life this actually is anyway.
I am going to have a new car and a new job soon. The car is already roaring under my backside and we clearly are made for each other. Loud, powerful, a little trashy, still stylish, plus a good portion of sass. It’s true love. The job is my dream job. I wanted it, I chased it, and got it.
I do my best to feed myself some protein, carbs and healthy fats each day. Considering my time spent at home comes down to a few hours of sleep if at all, homemade food is a rare luxury good. Reasonable cooking was not my forte during these days, hence I was having fun. So – I’m constantly hungry and underfed. That could leave one sitting in a pool of sexual tension, no … or am I the only one hearing a sexual innuendo here. It clearly is becoming an issue.
It’s not a secret that my urge to escape town on a frequent basis has the size of a truck, and my passion for travel is undeniable. Plus, I got a personal video request for being one of the bridesmaids at the wedding of my Canadian Bestie. Ignoring the fact that I am clueless of what my job as a bridesmaid will be (we don’t do bridesmaids or baby showers or crazy shenanigans like that in Switzerland), I cannot wait to cross the big pond again. So, I`ll be flying out to Vancouver in a few weeks, followed by a trip to Ohio to see my other North American Bestie. I`ll be lounging around at the beach, drinking drinks, having friends around me, checking out CrossFit gyms, being on the prowl with the camera and soaking up the sun. No more requests.
Me and helmets always made a good combination, so I went for a scooter ride in the mountains this week with my work peeps and showed them how fashionable my helmet look is.
I have no recollection of when I did what, but within the dramas, drinks, working days and socialising I did clean my appartment (#yayme) and triggered off my already dehydrated physical situation with killer sessions. If you can party, you can train.
Photography is becoming a bigger part of my life more and more and I enjoy it so much. I did a guided photowalk a week ago and I will be going to photography school for one semester this year. Paired with my passions of training, writing (language nerd) and traveling, this feels like nourishing my soul with rainbows and glitter.
Just kidding. Actually, I was seriously serious back then, sometime in 1991. However, on the rare ol` days when it’s warm here, you bet I get half-naked because that’s how I feel most comfortable. You may be right when suspecting traits of exhibitionism in my nature – not to be confused with indecent exposure though, because I always stay in-style. Training outfit is a big yes every day, nothing new here, yet I like to swagger around in my highest heels and coolish dress ups during this party week.
Current nail colour:
Nude. Because that’s how I feel most comfortable.
I start my last week at my old job next week. Time to celebrate – while we still can. (Song: Celebrate – listen to it, it’s fantastic.)
I see you clean and sober next week – and check out some healthier link ups on Meghans blog today!
