I have so many pics for you, it’s not even funny anymore. So much stuff going on around these parts – and only SIX week until I fly off to my around-the-world trip. It’s UNREAL.
So, let’s start with carneval – Fasnacht in Basel. I don’t want to explain too much about it, cause most of you do not get it anyway (I talk to you Miss Pielak🙂 ) but let me just say these are three days of fun, too much booze and food. Good thing it stops after 3 days🙂
Full force back to work with a whole day of Olympic Lifting Competition! These days are superlong, but I love everything about it being with my people the whole day, filming, photographing, blogging – my favorite part is probably that I don’t need to compete🙂 Though it’s unavoidable to start going crazy after 12 damn hours in a freaking gym hall.
Besides it, the athletes did an epic performance, we tracked down ELEVEN podium places. Sssssso proud.
And now we are in the middle of the Reebok Games Open. I love it. The heats at the box are wicked, vibrating atmosphere and a ton of fun. I decided to compete with the scaled version when I saw the WOD 15.1:
9 minutes AMRAP – 15 Toes to Bar / 10 Deadlifts / 5 Snatches
15.1 A: 6 minutes time cap: 1-Max-Rep Clean&Jerk
Toes to Bar? Ewwww. 35kg Snatch? Gasp…..So I did the scaled version on Friday and rocked it – it was quite easy. So my team encouraged me to go for the RX version. It took me a day to think about it🙂 but I went for it. 96 reps, that definitely exceeded my expectations and I was a happy camper.
My meal prep organisation is suffering big time. I do what I can in between all this unleashed craziness and I am happy to say that at least 80% of my meals are clean, and then some chocolate and some more🙂 Throwing Sweet Potatoes and other veggies into the oven, cooking eggs and oats in the microwave or grilling chicken burgers and fishfilets for the next 65 days are the things I manage to do. I swear, my cleaning lady, my bike and my car safe my life currently. I’d be interested in an allround person who does my taxes, my grocery shopping, bills and laundry. Anyone who is interested – I pay in
natural produce cookies and Swiss Chocolate.
My trainings are going well, I found a better timing and pacing with more rest. Loads of Interval Cardio for the Opens Prep and THREE runs in the RAIN last week. Seriously, the mornings I picked to run were rainy. I rolled with it. And sang.
Cheezuz, this song definitely shows how old I am. I am SO in love with it!!
