Snap back to reality, oh there goes gravity….

……tell me – what song is it??

Hey, it’s me!

October 14th would have been my Dad’s 69th birthday. This seems so unreal and it seems like he’s been so young when he died (55 years). When I was a kid and had my freak outs (totally rare, cough cough), he used to play this piece of Mozart on his piano to calm me down. It worked wonders. Oh, how much I missed it the past crazy weeks.

But heyyyyy, I am here and It feels fabulous to be back blogging. So sorry about ignoring everything last week that wasn’t job related. I have some of my private life back and even if it feels kind of odd, I realize how much I missed it!

The mess was beyond.

Who comes around my place to play Take or Toss with tons of champagne? I guess it would help with the storage in my closet. You NEED to watch this extended version of my favorite SATC scene.

Anyway. I worked through 7 days a week for 3 weeks now with my company and with CrossFit. Competitions…..

So proud of this bunch of beautiful people.

So proud of this bunch of beautiful people.

By the way – they broke Swiss records 2 weeks ago at Olympic Lifting, and Nora (smiling girl in black) won 1st place at the WORLD Powerlifting championship in Moldawia last weekend. I want to adopt them all.

At the fair all week long…

Though I must say, the views around the fair and on the daily travels there (it took place in the central part of Switzerland) were seriously wonderful. And I mastered the meal prep. I had all my meals in my ginormous sportsbag and felt like the only thing I did while travelling was eating. People kept staring, but I had great meals, so I consider it to be jealousy. If not, I don’t care.

I was seriously considering if it might be possible to eat and sleep at the same time. When I come to think of it, it wouldn’t suck at all – cause well, sleep and food – 2 of my favorite things combined. AND it was my choice to take on the Social Media job at CrossFit, which I don’t regret for a second. I still love it, even though I spent my Sunday crying over not-working Video uploads cause my accursed Internet connection decided to die every second minute. I was close to stamp my Laptop to the ground while emptying the bottle of Vodka in my freezer. Let’s not forget that I was on my legs for almost 24hours on Saturday, the day before. It’s okay. It all worked out in the end.

Now past weekend I didn’t work, but I slept 10-12 hours every night and I stayed in bed until I had back pain. Believe me, I never wanted to leave this place again.

But I did and I went to CrossFit, for a run and did piles and piles of laundry. I felt fit and relaxed just after a few good hours of sleep.

And I watched undistracted TV. Like, laying on the couch without my Laptop and not staring at my phone all the time. I care to admit that I didn’t remember how that’s like. As well as eating from a plate.

Sunday, after my run I met up with Momma and we drove up the landscape to watch the fall trees and to collect flowers. Not without a stop at the ‘Herbstmesse’, a fun fair which takes place in Basel every year. It reminds me so much of my childhood when I used to be obsessed with the rides. Today,  I go there EXCEPTIONALLY for the food. OMG, I never even know where to start and I never want it to end no matter how sick I feel after all the fat and sugar. Stay tuned for Wednesday’s pics……

Oh, and a last one – I never really know if I should laugh or feel sorry for Mom when I take a selfie of us. Cause clearly, she has no clue about it.

She recently discovered emoticons and her text messages look like this:

MomI love it. The fact that she does not use punctuation marks makes it sometimes a little difficult to read her texts (talk about 6-8 liners without a single break), but hey, she knows how to use her iPhone, I am proud.

That’s it guys, I can’t believe I just wrote a proper blogpost again. Thank you for waiting so patiently, I missed you!!

Now head on over to Katie for more marvelousness!!

Tell me what happened in your lifes while I drowned in craziness??

Ever went to a fun fair?

Is your Mom a technology genius?

Even though I missed our talks last week & your reading your posts, I’m so glad you took the week off & was able to accomplish so much. You had such a busy weekend, I couldn’t even imagine being able to squeeze in blogging. My heart goes out to you today. Please msg me on Facebook if you need to talk. I’m thinking you should go out today & do something that your Dad always loved – or even prepare his favorite meal. That’d be lovely!

Glad you vegged out and watched TV distraction free- That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

    (that rhymed, unintentionally).

    and that too. Fml.

    • You are my rhyme genius. What is Fml? I am old and have no clue about these shortcuts. Like Momma has no clue about selfies. I think she trhinks I want to make a video of the sun or something.

  7. Sending big hugs your way Lucie- am sure your dad is smiling down proudly :)! As for your mom, what a tech-savvy rockstar! My mom just the iPhone 6 (former BB user) and I can tell she’s having fun with the emojis. The fun fair looks like a blast- am especially loving that photo of with the squash- hot stuff!

Phew what a crazy week that was, but sometimes, don’t know about you, but I love crazy busy times, they tend to be the most action packed with fun!
Beautiful pics with your mum – I love taking selfies with my mum, makes me smile!

  9. haha considering that my mom just figured out how to text last year…nope, she is not tech savvy. I think she still had a flip phone up until last year too! And sounds like you had an insane week – I’m glad you had some time to relax and go to the fair!

  10. You are GORGEOUS! Looks like an incredible week/weekend! xoxo

  11. Yaaaay! I’ve been missing your face around these parts lately! But please tell me that was a typo and you didn’t put CRAB syrup in your oatmeal 😯 And my mom is a complete technology nooblet as well. She didn’t get a cell phone until something like a year ago, and it felt sooooo weird texting her at first.

Oh! And the song is Lose Yourself by Eminem. A gooder for sure!

  12. Lots of hugs for you… I know exactly what you man about your dad. My dad was always my touchstone. xo

You and your mom look so pretty! I love the ferris wheel too – so much beauty in Switzerland and you could see it all!

My mom is am emoticon freak. It’s hilarious. She gets all offended when we make fun of her, but doesn’t stop her. LOL!

    • Love that you understand me so well girl! Hugs back!

Oh my GOD, our Moms are SO the same. My brother and me always laugh at her and she pretends to be hurt but goes on with not using punctuation marks and 7000 emoticons in a text. LOL!

      • danielle says:

our mom’s are so similar! she texts me all the time and for the most random things! and now with my baby brother out of the house, she wants to skype with him always, so bougth a mac book and this huge purse bag for it, so she carries her phone and giant mac bag around all the time… in case he wants to skype. she’s so funny! oh and she discovered twitter, and tweeted pics of her ear on accident with her phone. mom… oh how i love your amusing ways!!!!
yes, her upside down profile pic is still upside down. WTF she is now bugging my siblings for help, yet nobody is rescuing her. are we a crazy family? 😀

      • Haha, omg SO funny. My Mom texted me last night. She lives just around the corner and she wanted to find out which my window is. So she texted I should go with a flashlight on the balcony and blink. WTF? I did that and she texted 10000 emoticons telling me she saw it and was so excited. She then said she would blink now with the flashlight so I can see where her balcony is. But I didn’t see it and wanted to call her, to ask where the fuck I have to look. But she kept knockin me out and texting. Seriously. SO crazy.
But I LOVE your family! Crazy families are the best!

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
