……tell me – what song is it??
Hey, it’s me!
October 14th would have been my Dad’s 69th birthday. This seems so unreal and it seems like he’s been so young when he died (55 years). When I was a kid and had my freak outs (totally rare, cough cough), he used to play this piece of Mozart on his piano to calm me down. It worked wonders. Oh, how much I missed it the past crazy weeks.
But heyyyyy, I am here and It feels fabulous to be back blogging. So sorry about ignoring everything last week that wasn’t job related. I have some of my private life back and even if it feels kind of odd, I realize how much I missed it!
The mess was beyond.
Who comes around my place to play Take or Toss with tons of champagne? I guess it would help with the storage in my closet. You NEED to watch this extended version of my favorite SATC scene.
Anyway. I worked through 7 days a week for 3 weeks now with my company and with CrossFit. Competitions…..
By the way – they broke Swiss records 2 weeks ago at Olympic Lifting, and Nora (smiling girl in black) won 1st place at the WORLD Powerlifting championship in Moldawia last weekend. I want to adopt them all.
At the fair all week long…
Though I must say, the views around the fair and on the daily travels there (it took place in the central part of Switzerland) were seriously wonderful. And I mastered the meal prep. I had all my meals in my ginormous sportsbag and felt like the only thing I did while travelling was eating. People kept staring, but I had great meals, so I consider it to be jealousy. If not, I don’t care.
More CrossFit work….
I was seriously considering if it might be possible to eat and sleep at the same time. When I come to think of it, it wouldn’t suck at all – cause well, sleep and food – 2 of my favorite things combined. AND it was my choice to take on the Social Media job at CrossFit, which I don’t regret for a second. I still love it, even though I spent my Sunday crying over not-working Video uploads cause my accursed Internet connection decided to die every second minute. I was close to stamp my Laptop to the ground while emptying the bottle of Vodka in my freezer. Let’s not forget that I was on my legs for almost 24hours on Saturday, the day before. It’s okay. It all worked out in the end.
Now past weekend I didn’t work, but I slept 10-12 hours every night and I stayed in bed until I had back pain. Believe me, I never wanted to leave this place again.
But I did and I went to CrossFit, for a run and did piles and piles of laundry. I felt fit and relaxed just after a few good hours of sleep.
And I watched undistracted TV. Like, laying on the couch without my Laptop and not staring at my phone all the time. I care to admit that I didn’t remember how that’s like. As well as eating from a plate.
Sunday, after my run I met up with Momma and we drove up the landscape to watch the fall trees and to collect flowers. Not without a stop at the ‘Herbstmesse’, a fun fair which takes place in Basel every year. It reminds me so much of my childhood when I used to be obsessed with the rides. Today, I go there EXCEPTIONALLY for the food. OMG, I never even know where to start and I never want it to end no matter how sick I feel after all the fat and sugar. Stay tuned for Wednesday’s pics……
Oh, and a last one – I never really know if I should laugh or feel sorry for Mom when I take a selfie of us. Cause clearly, she has no clue about it.
She recently discovered emoticons and her text messages look like this:
I love it. The fact that she does not use punctuation marks makes it sometimes a little difficult to read her texts (talk about 6-8 liners without a single break), but hey, she knows how to use her iPhone, I am proud.
That’s it guys, I can’t believe I just wrote a proper blogpost again. Thank you for waiting so patiently, I missed you!!
Now head on over to Katie for more marvelousness!!
Tell me what happened in your lifes while I drowned in craziness??
Ever went to a fun fair?
Is your Mom a technology genius?
