I warn you. It’s highly possible that this post won’t make any sense at all. It is 10:30 pm while I am writing this and since 2 days I film, photograph, blog, Facebook, upload, photo edit and email media mails. It’s not so hard, but like everything you do for the first time, I acted like a stupid beginner and it took me YEARS for things that normally take 30 minutes. Blogging for my sweet little blog seems like the easiest thing to do right now.
But yeah I feel a little…..
I didn’t have any caffeine. Nor booze.
Ok, wait, let’s get this sorted.
I went for a Sprint/HIT-session on Friday morning – 30 minutes intensity, nothing more, nothing less. Grocery shopping, houshold stuff, phonecalls with Besties and then off to lunch with the CrossFit boys. Powerlifting class at 5 and then home. The boys thought it was hilarious on how nervous I was to be the Social Media/PR coordinator from now on and before my first job at the Olympic Weightlifting Competition. Very funny, haha. I wanted to do it perfect, so of course I was nervous.
A little revenge:
I was so giddy, I prepared myself all evening in the middle of laundry piles and my own Social Media/Blog craziness-addicition.
Saturday was competition day. They did SO well. I think I did too. I hope. No one complained so far. Not sure what that is supposed to mean.
Now what really lacked was my reminder to take pics. I SO wished I had one of me as the PR/Media Chick. Seriously you guys, I had no idea what I was doing, but I acted like I did. It’s always the way to go if you have no clue about the world around you. I carried my cam around my neck, had my writing pad and pen (and always took notes, I felt SO important), and waved around with my iPad and iPhone all freaking time like a mad woman. I ran up and down the stairs as if I was SO busy, when in reality I just always forgot everything everywhere. Not typical, ey? (…)
But hey, a guy even went to Tom to ask him if I was from the press. Baaaahahaha. Goal reached!!! Btw, I gave myself a title in my CrossFit Basel Email: Lucie Pfaendler, PR/Social Media Communications. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
The ladies won 1st place in team!! Arent’ they beautiful chasing the podium?!
The boys did good as well. Silly kids.
We went for dinner back home and again, I forgot to take one single pic. I need to do better next time. We had the best time. I was so confused and exhausted after this day that the only thing I did was gulping down one huge bucket of prosecco, shoveling beef and risotto into my mouth, talking nonsense and laugh like a silly chicken all night long. I collapsed in my bed after midnight completely knocked out.
Up at 8am and starting to do all the debriefing work. Thank God for food on the side. My photo skills said goobye.
I went to CrossFit class at 5 and did some more strength circuits after.
Class was a medball warm up, Floor Press, DB Rows and Double Kettlebell Swings, and this WOD:
…and then worked some more at the box.
I love it. It might be a lot of work, but yeah, I love it. It includes everything I am passionate about, writing, photographing (& editing), Social Media, being with people/friends, and beside it I can do my training and write about it. I can represent the place online where I spend my freetime at. Seems right, right? I secretly hope they make this job a fulltime position for me. C’mon. It’s so perfect.
A big thank you to my filled freezer and a fridge that was stocked up with fresh veggies. 5 minutes prep meal:
