Happy Monday!

Yes! This was an epic weekend. Not that any extremely exciting stuff happened, but isn’t it the small things that make life beautiful?

Let’s see.

MiMM-2Thursday night Dinner and Movie night with 3 other girls. First a Curry, then a Movie and to end the night a drink with the best view on my hometown. In Love.

Lili's Curry Basel

Friday morning leg day at the gym (LOVE-HATE), and some stupid filing work at the office while watching the live coverage of the Crossfit Games. Yes, I am allowed to do that while filing and besides that it was actually my day off.

Crossfit

Lunch with the Crossfit Crew. I failed on the food picture front, but Coach Tom made sure we have plenty of pics. It’s obviously a fun tradition to take 7087892 pics with my iphone. ๐Ÿ™‚

Crossfit

Friday afternoon: Spontaneous date with my Best and checking on a dress for a wedding in August. She photobombed my side-selfie while trying on my stuff. She might have complained about the million of clothes I own, but let’s face it, it’s a girls paradise.

Late afternoon: Pedicure. I call this Strawberry Cheesecake. SO girly. It’s summer and I am a girl. So I love it.

PedicureFriday night: Meeting up with Vanessa who is FINALLY back from her USA-vacation!! AND this sweet friend brought me this shirt home. I love it. Pink, #FTW.

Sorry for the messy bed. I only slept in it. #twss

Lucie LucieHeading to Crossfit. Crossfit-Boss Ramon taught us Squat Stretches (my Squat form sucks big big BIG (did I say big?) time) and then I practised Double Unders.

You might get sick of my Crossfit talk. I am sorry. But I can not stop, cause – I can do effing-freaking Double Unders!!! For those who don’t understand: Double Unders is rope skipping – 1 jump, rope passes under 2 times. It was my hate-exercise and now I did 30 (THIRTY) in a row. Barefeet. And my calves are dead now.

Time to put on the grill after this excitement, getting lazy on the box-couch, catching up with Vanessa, watching the Crossfit games and cracking stupid-silly jokes all night.

Good to have that sexy Crossfit Girl back!!

Beef/Bacon/Sausage Skewer. Post picture addition: a ton of ketchup, half a package of paprika chips and chocolate bar for dessert. hmmm.

CrossfitOh, and I brought along a homemade apple pie. It was even half-paleo!! The crust wasn’t. But I used shredded coconut, almond meal and coconut milk for the topping. It was really good, if I may say so myself. I know, not everyone got a piece of it. Sorry about that ๐Ÿ™‚

Saturday morning: 8k trailrun in the rain. No pics.

Postrun Breakfast: Blueberry Protein Pancakes with healthy almond chocolate sauce. I didn’t want it to end.

I LOVE my baby pancake skillet!

Saturday afternoon: Shopping in Germany with Mom and enjoying the farmers market…..

Farmers Market Farmers Market Farmers Market

Later on: bustling around at home doing nothing and everything. Hanging up pics, filling up my snack jar, cooking dinner. I wanted to fill the jar with mini-chocolates. But let’s keep it real, they would be stuffed in my face before tomrrow night arrived. So trailmix it is.

Saturday night: More Crossfit Games at the box. Plus a bottle of Amarone. It starts to get out of hand with that red wine. Even though it is always only one glass – I don’t know where this is coming from?! Whatevs. I roll with it.

Sunday morning: Gym time. So nice, so quiet, so intense.

Lucie

Sunday afternoon: Nutbutter-Blending-Craziness, and Summer Date with the Bestie at the river. Can it get any better?

My way of blending. Did I mention that the transformer weighs 13kilos (3-freaking-2 lbs) ? And yes, my kitchen always looks like some kind of foodbomb exploded after experimenting. I am NOT good in keeping things clean and neat while cooking. Can we still be friends?

I even had cacao powder and nutbutter on my cheek, in my hair, on my legs and all over my dress. Don’t judge.

As said – little things that make life marvelous. Head on over to Katies blog for more!!

Have a lovely day friends!

What was your highlight of the weekend?

Do you manage to keep your kitchen clean when you cook or create recipes? If so, can you come and teach me please? I am not keen on walking around in town with foodleftovers all over me every time I cook. (It happened several times.)

What is your favorite bodypart to train? I love everything upper body. My legs are weak compared to it, that’s why I hate it. Maybe one day……

  1. Great weekend recap- I’m loving your pedicure…I’m rocking hot pink now too! I can’t wait for this healthy nutella recipe- it looks divine..I kinda wanna bathe in it ;)! My weekend was really relaxed for the most part, including a trip to the cinema and a few meals out with some friends. I especially loved the sesame kimchi beef I had at brunch on Sunday!

  2. You really seems to live in a girls paradise. You look gorgeous in that dress! However I am even more jealous of your shirt. Excuse me while I powder …my hands – haha love it!

  3. I see a card on your fridge that looks familiar ๐Ÿ˜‰ All of your creations are amazing like OMG I am obsessed with making things at home especially nut butters although I need to take it from you and learn how to use my food processor ๐Ÿ™‚ all my love xo C

Hi!!! I’m new to your blog!!!

Those nut butters look delicious!!, i am also quite messy in the kitchen as I tend to cook too many things at once and end up vurning or overcooking half of them!!…..upps…hahaha

I love to train the upper body but when leg day comes I feel really accomplished as I really feel the burn the day after….that means hard work!!

  5. Geeze Lucie so much bloody crossfit….. How am I going to do it wih you when you visit? The pancake topping- be still my heart. Let’s not get started on the nut butter creations….

My kitchen looks like hell even before I start. After? Like….. Yeah.

    • Hahaha. I love you for saying that about your kitchen. Makes me feel so much better.
Don’t worry about our Crossfit Training. We will go to the beginner classes! I make you bench press me. Lol.

My mom doesn’t really like me experimenting in the kitchen as she thinks I am really really really messy (and I used to be..) but now after living on my own in a WG, I have learned how to clean up (slightly more) after myself ๐Ÿ™‚
OMG those nutbutters… gaaaaaah I need to make more, I just don’t enough jars to store them in.. which means I need to buy some nut butter, eat those and then make some to refill them, haha ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I destroy my kitchen. Nothing EVER ends up where it should. C is super clean and always gets mad when he gets home from work and the kitchen is a disaster lol

  8. Cutest.shirt.EVER. And I love that sign about chocolate being the answer to everything, with the question being irrelevant ๐Ÿ˜‰ And is it weird that I’m actually super clean when I cook/bake? I just get stressed out when my kitchen becomes a disaster zone, so I tend to clean as I go.

    • Yes, I love that quote too! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hm, would you mind to come and cook in my kitchen? I will entertain you with silly stories while you cook clean ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. So many marvelous things!!! I love that dress, and the shirt… but not the fact that you only SLEPT in the messy bed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  10. Amy says:

I will never get sick of your CrossFit talk! You look wonderful and very happy. But the best part of this post… 30 DOUBLE UNDERS BAREFOOT?! You are amazing!!

  11. […] my pancakes with it, smother it on ricecakes, dip it with appleslices, drizzle over my oatmeal or my homemade apple pie or….well, spoon it up from the […]

  12. cottercrunch says:

you have such great friends, but i am not surprised since you are so great! now, about this pie.. half paleo? do share!

  13. So many things to say…first, that dress is killer. I’d have to get a spray tan to even come close to pulling it off but you look incredible! Also, that GRILL! Holy mother of god that’s huge! Perfect for hosting friends, which is what grills are for, right? And thanks for including the flower pics. I love pictures of tons of flowers – even just looking at photos of them brighten my day ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. […] The bonus here is, that after making these, your kitchen will smell from chocolate and banana for days. Not too bad in my opinion. Now, amazingly enough I am sitting here, writing this post instead of being dead from salmonella poisoning or something. Considering the scary copious amounts of raw cacao-banana-egg-flour mixture I ate while baking, I definitely should be. At least I smothered it every damn where in my kitchen and on myself, so it was clear, Lucie is baking. We know that already. […]

  15. […] community is amazing – in only a few months I met so many great, funny, strong, and amazing people, coaches and members. So much support, so much fun, so much enrichment. And a whole lot of hilariousness. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Most […]

No filter. And no one ever tells me again bullshit like that CrossFit makes me look like a man. Left side, 1998 (19y), ~60kg, in an abusive relationship, fueled by a daily dangerous skinny drug cocktail which almost killed me and hours of cardio, no lifting and an oh so fucked up mindset. Right side, 19 years later today (39y), ~68kg (~8kg gainzzz!!). Recovered from 20 years of extreme disordered eating and drugs; and passionate about CrossFit. A healthy mind (pretty much at least ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰), a healthy body, freedom and a joy of life I had never experienced before. To be alive and healthy is a fucking miracle. I've always been a stubborn kid and I never half-assed things - contrary, I went and still go full-ass with everything I did and do - which also led me to extreme addictions. But it also allowed me to fight through suicidal thoughts and hurdles. Yet, if you want to overcome something so incredibly strong and stubborn like an Eating Disorder you have to be stronger and more stubborn and to want it with all your heart and to give everything you got. If you are willing to let go in favour of your health, then get your shit together, you can do it. It's possible, I'm the living proof. Trust your strength and never stop believing. And for fucks sake, no one ever goes trying to make me feel embarrassed about my muscles again. I'm not. I'm perfectly ok, just like everyone else. #nojudging #crossfit @crossfit #fightforit #muscles #health #trusttheprocess #believe #eatingdisorderrecovery #awareness #support #loveyourself #bodyimage #fullass #getshitdone #loveyourbody #recovery #addictivepersonality #drugs #overcoming #bulรญmia #anorexรฌa
