Good morning!

I hope your week is treating you well so far.

If you don’t mind, I am happy when this week is over – my move happens daily, means I am packing and transporting slowly but steadily my stuff from one appartment to the other. Let’ not forget about all the stuff that will be transfered from Zurich to Basel on Saturday. Bahaha, moving IS a nightmare. I feel like I wear the same old shit everyday and I eat my meals out of ONE ugly green Tupperware in between mountains of clothes. Sweet.

But I don’t complain, cause – besides the crazy emotional rollercoaster I am riding again currently – I can not wait to be in my new appartment and finally have a real home again.

Today I show you a quick look at my eats and also join in on the Spill it – Edition hosted by Mr.Emu! Thanks to him and to Jen for her Food Party Host today.

Kale Chips. Yes, we don’t have any kale in Switzerland, but I found Kale Chips! I couldn’t believe it. I ripped it open the second I left the store and then carried them  proudly home in my bike basket.

So, since I forgot the 1 year blog anniversary last October and then also forgot the 1,5 years anniversary ( I wanted to throw a party then to make up for my fail – but failed again) – there is a HUGE archive of blogposts here and I DO have a hard time to pick 3. But I will make an Archive Recap once my blog turns two – I PROMISE!! Otherwise you are allowed to call me names and throw a protein cake, aka rock, at my face.

LucieSo, since I speak a lot about my Eating Disorder and my Recovery, here is one of my favorite posts about how to go forward with Baby Steps. It NEEDS consistency and patience, like with everything in life. But as long as we make progress and focus on improvement, we are on the right track.

progress_quoteAs for recipe posts. I have roundups for breakfasts, snacks, lunches, dinners and desserts. But still – I have too many recipes to just choose one, so I will cheat (sorry dearest Arman) and give you two. They include chocolate. That makes up for everything, right?

One of my most successful recipes were definitely my homemade nutbutters. Again a fact, why I can not wait to be in my new kitchen – going back blending the craze away. Without killing the blender AGAIN hopefully. #blondesatwork

Here’s ‘Salted Vanilla Cinnamon Almond Butter and Cacao Coconut Butter’

nutbutterAnother recipe I am still madly in love with is my Coconut Oatmeal Berry Bake. I made it so many times for myself or for friends an it’s a winner. Besides that it is supereasy to make and tastes awesome, it is really clean and healthy. NO sugar, not even sweetener and no fat needed, though I like to add a bit of coconut oil or flaxseed for a healthy fat kick. (HEALTHY FAT KICK? WHAT is…wtf?!🙂 )

img_3641And last but not least some FUN!! I LOVE to go back and read some posts from the very beginning. This one is a MIMM post with really bad pics and bad English. Priceless. But I am jealous I got to travel to Italy back then!

  1. I’ve never made my own almond butter, but I’m veeeeeery slowly warming up to the idea of it. In fact, I took the first step and bought a bag of almonds the other day just so that it could sit in the pantry and taunt me😛 One of these days… I just hope I don’t break my food processor.

    We are both in the process of moving and its a damn bitch and a half! Yay to tupperware! Please be nice to your blender……..

  3. LOVE making my own nut butter- especially almond butter! I’ve only made it salted but am looking forward to trying out different flavor combinations in future. Lately my favorite snack has been hummus, mustard & turkey roll ups…sounds random but super delish!

  4. We should get together – in Berlin, obviously😉 – to celebrate our two-year-blog birthdays because mine’s in September.
    I’m not sure how or why you’re doing it but all of your WIAW posts make me want to buy quinoa again. Even though I keep trying and not enjoying it. Time for another go…?

    I made my own macadamie/cashew/coconut butter the other day and I was in LUUURV🙂 You are right, it is amazing! And now onto that coconut berry bake.. I have bookmarked it oodles of times but haven’T managed to make it yet😦 ugh. It looks so yummy and I keep on making a mental note, but nope – not happening.. cooking/baking recently has been tough
    Favourite snacks would have to be nut butter straight up out of the jar or on sweet potato, or a banana smoothie with cashew nut butter and butter extract (ice cream basically ;))

  7. Moving is the worst! I just finished a move and it was miserable😦 I’m still not totally unpacked.
    I’ve yet to make my own nut butter, but I’ve been playing around with the idea for a while. Of course, that would require unpacking the food processor…

  8. I’ve only made my own nut butter once, but I need to do that again! As for blogiversary…mine is tomorrow, but I’ll be celebrated next week😉

    I’ve made almond butter successfully a few times, but never peanut butter. It turned into a gooey, sticky poo-like blob. Delicious, no?😉

  13. I have yet to make my own nut butter. It’s like sacrilegious or something, I’m sure. Yours looks great, and I think the stripe accents your pictures. It’s like the racing stripes they put on cars around here.😉
