Happy WIAW – Happy Wednesday!


As much as I would love to show you some creative eats of mine – I can’t . The move and all the changes lately leave me a little overwhelmed over here, which always means I cook what I know and I cook what’s easiest. I am such a lazy bum in the kitchen lately, it’s not even funny anymore. Or do you remember the times when I posted a recipe weekly?? Me neither. I suck, but hey, I promise, in my new humongous kitchen I will whip up some new deliciousness. The ideas are in my blonde head, I just need to bring them on the kitchen counter.

Speaking of postworkout – we had to do a 30 minute WOD past Wednesday morning at 7am. There IS a reason why I never know beforehand what’s coming in the class. Geeeez.


I also tried to take a back selfie. SUPERFAIL. #failfailfail. How do you guys do it?? I need a tutorial.

BUT I had some new finds to prepare this all! First, thanks to this fabulous Blend I can cook my meals with this delicious marinade. Seriously guys, someone HELP me to keep me away from drinking that damn bottle in one sitting. SO GOOD.


The people from Nu3.ch let me try a few products of their shop. I ordered the Himalayan Salt based on the 5 elements. Especially good cause it is paired with turmeric, garlic, onion, lemon zest and seaweed salt.


I also ordered the LEAN Chocolate Protein Powder from Optimum Nutrition. I like it and I am ALMOST happy with the ingredients – but I found sucralose, which I am not a fan of. Well, once in a while it won’t hurt.

    Yum, that bottle of ginger peanut marinade sounds fantastic, I love teriyaki glaze for marinades even though it tends to be high in sugar. The simple mix of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice & fresh herbs works a treat too! I am meeting friends for luncg tomo and I think sushi is on the menu- woo 🙂

I’m currently taking foodie inspiration from -you-… it’s been a while since I’ve had warm apples in my oats, and I’m thinking it’s going to have to happen tomorrow because that was one of my favourite ways of eating them back in the day. As for what’s for lunch today… it’s currently 8:30 PM and I’m not even thinking about lunch tomorrow, but lunch WAS an ABJ sandwich with a chocolate smoothie 😀 Actually, I think I might have that again tomorrow. So good.

  3. lolololol I’m pissing myself because I took a back photo once and calling it a failure is being kind- all I saw was a mop of black hair.

    I love optimum nutrition but yep…. the damn sucralose. Have you tried their casein? So. Good. I’ll make you try some here! I marinate my food in water. It saves calories.

    • Hahaha. I am glad I am not the only one who fails at back seflies. We need someone to teach us! I mean, who the fuck is interested in my sweaty ponytail??

  4. Remember I asked you what you mix in your cacao quark? Since I tried it I can not get enough of it. Would say you are my food inspiration so haha. Actually thinking of buying some cacao nibs for my desert tonight…

  5. Don’t feel bad girl, I can’t remember the last time I shared a recipe either. Hey! If you think about it, you did share one on my page that was a HUGE hit. Even if it wasn’t new to you, it was new to others 🙂

    P.S I wish we could be lazy bums together right now because you know I’m not doing squat!!

  6. haha I’ve been severely lacking on the recipe front too…I’ll fix that sooner or later 😉 As for lunch today…I’m going to a conference, so it’ll be whatever they want to serve me for lunch!

  9. I am often inspired by things I eat out. Ironically the best thing I could do for my blog is go out and eat…so random!

  10. Eating lunch RIGHT NOW!!! I have been OBSESSED with sauteeing some squid and mussels and clams and/or scallops with a can of olive oil packed tuna – MMMMMMM I DIE! Sometimes the tuna changes to sardines or mackerel too – UGH – I crave it 🙂

    PS: “messy” food is always the tastiest!!

  11. Funny how you’re asking about recipe inspiration because as I was scrolling through your post and saw your lunch I made a mental note to keep it in mind for future work lunches. I’m not a fan of ‘salad salads’ [read: greens only] so the idea of a proper packed one with a side dish of grains is good. I need to make room in my fridge for big batches of cooked grains. Other than that I get recipe inspiration from all around: magazines, other blogs, cookbooks, …
    On the note of back selfies: I can’t even take proper ‘regular’ ones, haha.

    All your eats look delicious. For the back selfie I know using an IPhone you can use the volume keys to take a picture so that might help some.

  14. Sometimes I have trouble taking a selfie. I know you’re supposed to shoot from an upward angle but my arms aren’t long enough so head on selfies it is for me.

    AIn’t nothing wrong with some salad beasts. Those are some of my favorite things.
