Guys – life is good.

Hi from Spain. Can we agree that travelling alone is MARVELOUS? It is!!!

There’s already a lot to tell so I try to keep everything short and let the pics speak.

Before I headed off on Friday morning, I celebrated the beginning of my vacation with Jonas my male Bestie or childhood BFF (I know he’s reading now. And laughing. Hi Sweetie🙂🙂 ) on the rooftop of Che Que Lomo, the fab place I’ve been with Laura too. It was such a glorious summernight and Jonas and me had the best time like always. Spending time with him is ALWAYS perfect. hinterhof lucie

Sry.🙂🙂 (Sorry, Insider…:-))

Lucie Meat SunsetHinterhofAfter hardly any sleep I took the flight to Malaga. We all know I am obsessed, but can you believe I didn’t even make it through security without buying new sneakers??!!

NikeMost important moment on the plane……I almost overslept it!! But I heard: ‘Schöggeli?` and I was wiiiide awake. (Schöggeli = Schoggi = Chocolate) SchoggiOnce landed I took the car and drove to the casita. First time on my own on the spanish highway. Interesting. And lots and lots of curses. Nothing new there. But I arrived!! Lucie

LucieI was welcomed by summertemps and blue sky – SO beautiful!!Bena Bena Bena View from the bedroom and the terrasse…..Bena Bena BenaBenaSaturday morning I made my way to the gym by bike. Cycling along the ocean is definitely a convenient way to get a workout started!Bena BenaI actually start to realize what a celebrity life is like. Whenever I am on my bike or running along the beach, my path is crossed by so many spanish cyclers. They grin and wave and shout at me – crazy. Friendly as I am, I smile and wave back – without a clue what I am supposed to say (my spanish is crab = non existing) – and then they freak completely out. HI-LARIOUS. I guess they should visit California one day where a blonde running girl isn’t so exotic🙂🙂

Of course I had to take a gym selfie in between all the spanish muscly men. I think they thought I am a freak spending my workout in THEIR free weights area. I wonder if I should let them know that there are other exercises than bicep curls too ?LuciePerfect sheep situation on my way back…..Bena BenaPostworkout – practising handstand. My goal is to do pushups (I can do very very tiny ones but only with the wall) or a one handed at the wall. Still a long way to go…..LucieRest of the afternoon was spent sun bathing!! It is seriously SO warm and I can catch a nice tan. Definitely nothing to complain here.

As for my emotions, I am doing pretty well. There are moments when I miss Sandro, and I get nostalgic about our times here. Of course. But I also realize that I wore the ‘retrospective-glasses’ quite strongly the last few weeks and now – while I am here and the memories come back – I realize that definitely not everything was as pink and rose as I thought it was.

This morning I went for a beach run which was perfect as always – LOVE them!!

And now I am off enjoying my lunch on the terrasse with a side of flowers and ocean view! BenaDid you ever spend a vacation on your own?

Do you speek Spanish?

  1. Well I’m about to spend a vacation on my own at Blend. Does that count? Probably not, but I loved seeing these pictures. It reminds me of my vacation in Croatia. So picturesque and the flowers would just tumble over everything, walls, signs, houses, it didn’t matter.

Enjoy your vacation Ms. Celebrity Blonde.🙂 You look fabulous by the way.

    • Blend!! I am so jealous. Can you guys do a group skype call to me?? (Does that sound dirty?)
I’ve never been to Croatia but I heard it is so beautiful too!

      • We’re going to be skyping Armna hopefully so I don’t see why not. We’ll need to coordinate.

Croatia might have been my favorite vacation spot every. Good people, good food, good location. We were in a villa on the Adriatic Sea. It was breathtaking.

  2. Yes. So glad you took a solo trip. As much as I enjoy holidays with friends- you need to be so careful with whom you go with and also how long. I appreciate solo trips because your not bound by any schedule or pleasing the others- and for you, it’s well warranted.

  3. Working on handstand push-ups at the moment as well. Glad to know I am not the only one feeling like its a long way to go!

Ah your trip looks so fabulous, Lucie! I’ve never taken a trip on my own but I think I would love to for a few days- what a total escape! Those new trainers are stunning- for what it’s worth, duty free shopping doesn’t count..and holiday money doesn’t count as real money😉

  5. Looks like a fabulous trip love! Besides HLS last September and Blend this coming weekend, I’ve never really traveled by myself – and I don’t think either of those count. One of these days I do want to take an ACTUAL solo trip though – I think you can learn a lot about yourself that way.
And those sheep! That’s more fun than a regular traffic jam :-p

  6. I wish I could go on a vacation on my own! But that boy of mine seems to follow me😉 Looks absolutely glorious. How could you NOT be okay?!

  7. Omigosh I want to be where you are! I know that would defeat the purpose of going on vacation alone, but can you really say no to your little brown-haired Polish sister?😀 Cali 2015 — it’s going to happen! I’ll be travelling alone to Utah this week, but I guess that doesn’t exactly count seeing as I’ll be spending time there with tonnes of blends. I’ve always wanted to go on a vacation alone to see what it’s like, though. Soak up some sunshine for me!

  8. No hablo español, pero me gusta tacos y Argentinian lomo mucho!😉

I demand you twerk in the gym. Or in front of all the bikers. Arman agrees.

i don’t know spanish, but i do know french. And i love that you took a vacation on your own. It’s always a growing experience. Although selfishly i would have loved to have gone with you.

Gorgeous pictures, and I love that you work out in the free weights area – I feel awkward sometimes because the gym’s free weights area is a whole separate room at my gym! I can do the two hand handstand, but I’m working towards one hand too… still against the wall also.

    • Own these weights girl!! It took me a while to not bother about the guys, but now I really don’t care anymore. It’s my workout and worrying about others is a waste of time! Go for it.

  11. […] The workouts are the 35 bike ride to the gym, lifting and cycling back – as already mentioned in Monday’s post….. […]

  12. […] for being offline for the past few days – I was enjoying the rest of my vacation in Andalusia AND the arrival of SUMMER here in […]

  13. […] guess it is just the work overload and the lack of sleep lately – my last vacation being back in May and the break up, the move and all the changes happening since then. Good thing Israel and Spain is […]
