WIAW#63 – Friday’s Food

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

It’s my second last day at work today before 10 days off – still loads of stuff to do, so let’s skip this intro and move on to the really important stuff: FOOD.

So for today, I chose FRIDAY’s eats. Since I was out for dinner, it is a little more exciting than my daily eats during the week.

But let’s start with the night before, shall we? My second dinner (I can’t call this a snack anymore with this size) was a bowl of no fat quark with nutbutter, cinnamon and PB2 mixed in. Quark Friday morning, I was up at 4:45 to hit the gym for Day 4 aka last workout at the gym for the week. Preworkout:

I know that no one at the gym would want to join my workouts. Cause I almost die at every session and you can see it in my suffering face. NOT flattering as you can see – and now you see why I try to keep my gym-outfit glam, so it compensates that stupid face. Note the ladies behind me chit-chat while I am close to a heart attack.

What is with me and all those weird facial expressions?! LOL.

Postworkout: Growing Naturals Protein Smoothie with Oats or Banana. The thicker the better.

SMoothieLunch was fish with asparagus and avocado. Exciting. Fish In the evening, as mentioned in my Monday post, I went out with Sandro. The weather was beautiful and we hunted for a lounge seat at the lake. Predrinks for sure.

LakeDinner:

Salad with Prawns, Feta Cheese, Corn, Beets, Lettuce, Cucumber and Tomatoes for me, Ceasar Salad for him. SaladThat was already it – now let me just show you the next day’s breakfast cause I randomly found the pic on my phone. I did’nt have anything in my kitchen than oats, protein powder, eggs and….goji berries. Oh, and quark – which I mixed with stevia and raw cacao. It turned out to be a dry but delicious goji berry-oatmeal mugcake with quark on top. Mugcake MugcakeI can not believe this post does not involve any chicken. I must be crazy.

  2. That would be a big NO. If I’m really lucky, I even turn red in the face😉 And breakfast this morning was the standard ABJ oats, but this time I tossed in some chia seeds and omg… It was magical.

  3. unless you call sweating like a man pretty, than um no!🙂 Everytime I see your restaurant food, it makes me want to come to Swiss that much more. I just love how many healthy options there seem to be.

    Seriously wtf where is the chicken? Who are you? The cure to a dry mugcake is almond milk…. Soak the mofo in it!

  5. There is chicken… it just wasn’t on the salad you ordered (yours looks better, btw).😉

    I think #drybutdelicious is a thing. I do that to myself all the time. When it’s really bad I pour almond milk over it. #drybutdelicious accidental cereal?

    Having your desert of quark, cinnamon and nutbutter (dont have any PB2) for almost the last three weeks every single night. Breakfast involves again a huge portion of quark topped with fruits. Quark just is the best alternative for greek yogurt I hardly get here in germany.

    Haha I am far from pretty when I work out- sweat dripping, hair all over the place and a tomato face ;)! I am yet to eat breakfast but i foresee some bran flakes with unsweetened almond milk, blueberries and toasted seeds…and a bucket of tea on the side because it is faaaa-reezing!

    I definitely do not look beautiful: I get a super red face, sweat too much, but am so happy when I workout cause I love it so I do smile😀 I love all your clean eats! yummy

  10. bahaha if you look beautiful while doing a kickass workout…you’re probably doing it wrong :-p and I haven’t eaten breakfast yet, but now I think I need to go wander into the kitchen…

  11. Let’s just blame the hair for any red-faced-ness [we’ll pretend that was a word]. It’s a fact that our long manes make us prone to sweaty mess resemblance when working out. And about those ‘weird’ faces? Proof of how badass hard you work out.
    On another note I need to try your second dinner/ appropriately sized snack😉 if/ once I get my hands on PB2. Thinking about it, it’s like an upgrade of my Greek yogurt/ coconut flour/ peanut flour/ almond butter combo – goood idea.

  12. Yummmm that protein shake looks so thick and delicious!!! And I make the funniest faces when I’m working out, too. Especially at gymnastics, haha.

    Haha I’m sure I look like a hot mess when I’m working out. The hot-yoga instructor I had Monday was really cute and I was so glad I’d thought to swipe on some mascara. Not that it helped much…

    After a few days of smoothies, I made oats this morning with egg whites, flax, and blueberries. Instead of water, I used coconut milk I was trying to finish off—why don’t I do that more often? It was so good!

  17. Your day o food is RIIIIGHHHT UP MY ALLEY! We would be the best eating buddies EVER!!!!! That pre-work out fuel looks BOMB… However, I totally cannot eat and then work out, so I would leave it for my post fueling!😛

    What is your secret to a thick smoothie??? I cannot seem to get the texture of mine right no matter how hard I try! Please let me in on the trick!

    • Ok, so important is to add something that is dry – like oats, flaxseed, Chia Seeds….and not too much liquid. You can also add a natural thickener like Xanthan Gum! A tbsp of Nutbutter makes it supercreamy too!
