This is going to be such an amazing week, I am so excited I have NO CLUE how I should manage to fall asleep at night. I think I need a LOT of red wine these days!!
But let’s talk about the marvelous past days for now.
I went out on Friday with my brother in law. To be honest, I don’t know if he is that. He’s the brother of the wife of my brother. Get it? Me neither. Anyway, we had a great night out with good food at Noohn –
…and I made sure to drop in at Jay’s for an after dinner drink and announce my and Laura’s visit for this week. I used to work as a waitress in Jay’s Indian restaurant and we’ve been good friends since then – and like in old times, I was laughing tears that night cause we can’t behave like normal people when we’re together. I mean, we ARE not normal. Silly times.
On Saturday I had to do stuff in the office – which was ok, as it rained almost all day. But not without breakfast…..
After work I hit the gym for an intense upper body workout&sprints and then rushed to my new found favorite store to stock up on needs – it was 10% discount on EVERYTHING! You bet I went crazy in there. Thank God I was there with Mom’s car.
Saturday night was lazy, as I had am active day ahead of me – the last day in 2013/2014 Snowboard season! I cooked up some good food…..
….and did my laundry. Random note – can you please confirm that this happens to you as well – socks vanishing mysteriously in the washing machine??!! WHAT is this??I got up at 5:30 on Sunday – threw on my Snowboard gear and packed food for the drive.
The day was amazing. We arrived at 8:30 at the slope and it was foggy – but it cleared up as the day went on. The BEST thing was the quality of the snow. This is such a huge and important part when riding. May is usually too warm for snow, but it layered down some fresh powder the days before and so it was perfect. Check out my poser video!!
I was back home early evening, showered, did some meal prep, ate dinner and did nothing.
Soooo…..I am thinking about quitting my job and becoming a full-time travel agent. Organizing Laura’s Swiss Trip is SO much fun – even though I sometimes run around like a chicken with my head cut off, I just love it. And I am embarrassed to admit how much I learn from my own country these days 🙂 Laura will get to see places I have never been to!
Yay for Birthday-Laura-Week!!
Happy Monday everyone!!
What sentence in Swiss German do you want me to teach Laura? She will then present it to you by video 🙂
Do you experience single socks in your laundry? WHERE the HELL has their partner gone?!
Do you celebrate your birthday only on your day? Or for the whole week? Month??
