MIMM with a VLOG!!

3. March 2014 by swissfitchick

Good morning!!

Happy Monday and thank you to Katie for hosting the marvelousness!

I hope your weekend’s been great! Mine consisted of mostly resting which was a lot more wonderful than I actually thought. I really enjoyed the break, my back started to heal and my body was obviously very thankful for the break – the bloating went away, all the water retention disappeared and I slept every night like a baby. Bliss.

I had a friend over on Friday and cooked some yummy dinner for her:

Codfish, roasted asparagus. avocado & smoked ham

We watched a movie later on….

Fun. And I love Meryl Streep.

Fun. And I love Meryl Streep.

On Saturday morning I slept in and was STARVING when waking up. I’m keeping my eats decent without the workouts, but still fueling well. Quinoa Oat Eggwhites Porridge with blueberries and quark on top – which I pimped with coconut flour and cacao powder AND sprinkles. I eat dairy once in a while again – so far I had no issues at all eating it. Porridge Later in the day I went for a walk…..Lake…and then I made a spontaneous VLOG! I wanted to do this for so long, actually with a specific subject, but it just didn’t happen so far. So what you get today is a video of me talking random stuff which might bore you to death, but as said, this just happened out of nowhere and I am Swiss, so have a heart with my English. Actually, I had no idea what I’m doing. Oh and the freeze – haha. Stop looking up bitch.

To embarrass myself a little more, I show you a pic of how I walked around all Weekend. Note – our appartment is always very warm, but my feet are ALWAYS cold. That’s why I am wearing sheep feet. And the clothes mess is AGAIN not from me.

SelfieAnd that’s how my back looks like….

Back Dinner was a big bowl of leftovers from the codfish and asparagus, followed by a dessert plate – chocolate no fat quark and 100% cacao dark chocolate. Heaven. Fish Dinner Dessert Sunday morning I was starving AGAIN like a monster. I really don’t know where this is coming from. I made Protein Blueberry Pancakes and topped them with pb2/soy yogurt and of course sprinkles!! Pancakes I finally caught up with Bloglovin, cleaned a little, went for a leisure bike ride and did some meal prep….Meal Prep …and experminented in the kitchen and ate my new recipe for lunch. It’s a winner and it’s coming tomorrow!! Noodle SaladOk, that’s enough of Lucie-overload, I let you move on with your week! Have a good one!!

I embrace my restdays more and more and after this week I will take 2-3 restdays a week for sure. What about you? Are you resting enough?

Sprinkles – yay or nay? A big YAY for me!

What did you have for dinner last night?

I am not a huge sprinkle fan, but they do make dessert look so fun! Kind of wish I was a fan haha.

I just had to share last night for dinner I made a tilapia and spaghetti squash buffalo pasta with a side of veggies and I must say it is the best meal I have had for quite some time!

Can’t wait to see your recipe post for tomorrow!

  2. I loved being able to listen to you! You have a fabulous accent! I always love being able to hear and see bloggers, it makes me feel like I know you better! Can’t wait for the recipe! And glad you’re feeling a little better (:

  3. BE NICE to yourself, beautiful! No calling yourself mean names. Love the blog, love hearing your voice, and LOVE your short and giant socks outfit. My roommates have seen me in that same outfit I think. I’m sorry about your back–wish you a speedy recovery 🙂
LOVE YOU and am ALWAYS proud of you.

  4. Lucie I absolutely loved hearing your voice! Thank you for making a video 🙂 I am so happy you are embracing rest days. Especially with all CrossFit… we need them. I am aiming for 2 rest days a week. Or at least 1 rest day and yoga. Happy Monday lovely 🙂

Looks like you got some delicious eats in this weekend.
And I’m glad to hear things sound like they’re improving! To be honest, I haven’t worked out once in a month (except walks) and I’ve never felt better (which is weird coming from me). My body kept on getting so overworked, injuries, and I felt so run down I just buckled down and took some time off, and it’s really done wonders for my body. I think it’s great you’re getting in some extra rest!
Oh my, don’t get me started on sprinkles. I absolutely hate them. When I was eight, I legit had a fear of them (so random). Ick ha.

    • I am so happy to hear that Lisa, and I experience the same with this restweek!! I felt so puffy with all the crazy workouts lately, so this rest is just blissful!!
Oh sorry about the sprinkles – I take them for you 🙂

  9. Lucie mon ami can you please remind me to watch this vlog when I have PROPER INTERNET? Argh life without wireless is hell. Glad to hear your healing well- and nourishing well too. That recipe looks like savoury perfection.

We must be on the same wavelength- I have been STARVING this week- no joke like crazy starving, from 11.15am-5pm today I was constantly eating!

  10. You are adorable and your accent is just as amazing as I imagined it would be. 🙂 I hope your back makes a fast recovery!

  11. love hearing your voice!!!! Do more Vlogs please! Maybe you’ve inspired me…

I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better and enjoying your rest. But don’t rest too long cause I want that recipe ASAP!

  12. oh my god I love hearing your voice!! I love hearing accents. And I’m happy to hear that resting is going well – people really underestimate how important rest is. Having to take it easy right now, I’m realizing how much my body prefers at least a couple days in a week, rather than trying to go hard 6 days a week…our bodies love to relax!

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
