Good morning and happy Friday friends!

I am about to fall off my chair – I had christmas events and parties for the last 2 nights and there will be one more tonight. I guess I need to request a week off from work in order to plant face my pillow for at least 3 days. Sleep gifBut before I head off to the weekend, I got some FOOD for you! After 2 roundups for Breakfast and Lunch, today I present you my favorite snack recipes. Cause we all LOVE to snack right? ALL of us. Yes. zukkiZurich’s most famous husky. Zukkihund.

Let’s start with one of my absolute favorite snacks – you guessed it – it contains chocolate. But not only that. It contains Kabocha as well. And it’s protein packed and healthy. And to die for.

Baked Kabocha with Healthy Protein Chocolate Dip

kabochaWhile we’re at it, let’s continue with a little more chocolate. In cake form this time. These Mini Cakes are so easy to make and taste really delicious – and as always, they have some great health benefits.

HummusYou can add some variety here, I did several switch ups so far:

Chickpeas&Sweet Potato

Chickpeas&Eggplant

Chickpeas&Avocao for Humm-Guac

Chickpeas, Carrots&Pumpkin

Dip your favorite veggie sticks or tortilla chips in it – PERFECT!

For those of you who are more on the go and need something to throw in your purse – protein bars are a great option. Though I am not very happy with most of the store bought bars out there, so I made my own….

No Bake Chewy Protein Bars

Seriously, it is a WHOLE other level to eat your own almond or coconut butter. Plus it is a million cheaper and you can add variety like crazy. Make these – and then combine a few spoonfuls (don’t freak me out with 1 tsp or something like this – my serving size is different, sorry) with a banana or an apple and you’re in heaven.

– Hardboiled eggs

– Greek yogurt and berries

– Almonds

– Deli chicken Meat and Cherry Tomatoes

– Flatbread with Almond Butter

– Whiped Cottage Cheese with Berries

– Coconut Water

– Green Juice/Smoothie

  1. your photos are incredible! everything looks so good!🙂 the cake looks so moist..and your protein bars sound amazing btw.

may i ask you what that is in the second last photo? it almost looks like icecream. is that the whipped cottage cheese? how did you get it to look like that?

  2. The snacking fiend in me loves this post. I’m a HUGE snacker, and while I try to get my 3 squares in, more often than not I’ll snack the day away if left to my own devices. My favourite? Anything involving chocolate, bananas & AB, yogurt messes, mug cakes, and baked goodies. Aaaand I think it’s time for a snack. Thank you for making me hungry😛

I love making my own hummus! It’s so easy to adjust it to preference, a little extra garlic here, a little more tahini there🙂

I’m not a huge ‘snacker’, at least not on purpose😉 When I do though, my favourite at the moment would be lightly roasted carrot sticks with hummus. Even just on their own they’re good – pop them in a ziplock bag and away you go🙂

  4. Love your roundups- it sends me reminders of things to make😉

I generally snack in the afternoon not the morning- and I’m recently been obsessed with my microwave english muffin which depending on my mood, can make it sweet or savoury.

You make cottage cheese look sexy.

Yum!!! I am a SNACKER🙂 all these sound amazing! Fav on the go snack is actually sandwiches lol! I love turkey, havarti and avocado on sourdough or ciabatta, or a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel, or tuna (and I know it’s wrong) sharp chedder cheese and tomato on grainy bread😉. Happy Friday you angel!

  6. I must get on your chocolate and kabocha thing😉 it sounds so good!
I’m not the biggest snacker, but now I kind of want to become one!

homemade hummus is dangerous with me–> one bowl at a time. LOL!
