Good morning and happy Friday friends!
I am about to fall off my chair – I had christmas events and parties for the last 2 nights and there will be one more tonight. I guess I need to request a week off from work in order to plant face my pillow for at least 3 days. But before I head off to the weekend, I got some FOOD for you! After 2 roundups for Breakfast and Lunch, today I present you my favorite snack recipes. Cause we all LOVE to snack right? ALL of us. Yes. Zurich’s most famous husky. Zukkihund.
Let’s start with one of my absolute favorite snacks – you guessed it – it contains chocolate. But not only that. It contains Kabocha as well. And it’s protein packed and healthy. And to die for.
While we’re at it, let’s continue with a little more chocolate. In cake form this time. These Mini Cakes are so easy to make and taste really delicious – and as always, they have some great health benefits.
If you are more a savory snacker, then let me tell you that the easiest thing to do is homemade hummus. Seriously, I absolutely LOVE to make my own Hummus. The simple version is this one:
Chickpeas&Avocao for Humm-Guac
Dip your favorite veggie sticks or tortilla chips in it – PERFECT!
For those of you who are more on the go and need something to throw in your purse – protein bars are a great option. Though I am not very happy with most of the store bought bars out there, so I made my own….
If you have a little time and mind to spend it with your food processor, then I recommend you try my recipe for homemade nutbutters. Seriously, it is a WHOLE other level to eat your own almond or coconut butter. Plus it is a million cheaper and you can add variety like crazy. Make these – and then combine a few spoonfuls (don’t freak me out with 1 tsp or something like this – my serving size is different, sorry) with a banana or an apple and you’re in heaven.
– Hardboiled eggs
– Greek yogurt and berries
– Deli chicken Meat and Cherry Tomatoes
– Flatbread with Almond Butter
– Whiped Cottage Cheese with Berries
– Coconut Water
– Green Juice/Smoothie
