Spill it Sunday #2 – Travel

8. December 2013 by swissfitchick

Good morning!

Thank you Arman for hosting Spill it Sunday – a post just about me. As if I would talk about anything else in my other posts. But TODAY, we’re talking travel! I travelled a LOT so far and it’s hard to pick the favorite places, but here we go. Don’t forget to head over to Arman’s site and check out more travel posts!!

Back in 1998/1999 I’ve been to New York once a month due to my Flight Attendant Job. But actually conquered and enjoyed it I did in June this year.

That’s it for today!

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

What’s your favorite place you travelled to?

Is there a place you wouldn’t want to go back?

Have you been to Switzerland before if you’re not already living here?

  1. I think you’re kind of (read: really) amazing for your experience in Berlin. I honestly couldn’t imagine doing something like that, so you’re basically my hero 😛 And I’ve never been to Switzerland, but I’ve already told you that a future trip is definitely happening — I just have to make sure to visit when you’re actually going to be there!

  2. I have never been to Switzerland except in the airport on my way to Austria. However, my husband lived in Basel many years ago and has great memories!

My favorite travel destination so far has been Egypt. Every part we visited was so fascinating!
I would not necessarily travel back to the Ukraine. The people were lovely but I found it depressing and the food gross!

Our next trip will be Morocco…

  3. Your NYC pictures are making me so homesick….lets have a blogger meet up there please! 🙂

How amazing is Berlin- although I went there in Winter and it was like ice cream, it was so artsy and the people were amazing- as were the Christmas markets!

As bad as this sounds, I wouldn’t go back to Rome- I just had too many bad memories there!

Gahhhhh! I’m so jealous of all your travels! Sometimes I feel like I haven’t been anywhere…but I’m working on it! Just this year, I traveled to eight different states! Now, I just gotta work on the whole getting out of my country thing…I want to see the WORRRRRLD!! 😀

Favorite place I traveled to: St. Augustine, Florida. Not sure if it was the company I was with or just the fact that the trip could not have come at a better time for me (just before I was legally divorced). I got so much clarity on that beach. And that’s also about the time that I discovered I was a foodie! 🙂

No filter. And no one ever tells me again bullshit like that CrossFit makes me look like a man. Left side, 1998 (19y), ~60kg, in an abusive relationship, fueled by a daily dangerous skinny drug cocktail which almost killed me and hours of cardio, no lifting and an oh so fucked up mindset. Right side, 19 years later today (39y), ~68kg (~8kg gainzzz!!). Recovered from 20 years of extreme disordered eating and drugs; and passionate about CrossFit. A healthy mind (pretty much at least 😏😉), a healthy body, freedom and a joy of life I had never experienced before. To be alive and healthy is a fucking miracle. I've always been a stubborn kid and I never half-assed things - contrary, I went and still go full-ass with everything I did and do - which also led me to extreme addictions. But it also allowed me to fight through suicidal thoughts and hurdles. Yet, if you want to overcome something so incredibly strong and stubborn like an Eating Disorder you have to be stronger and more stubborn and to want it with all your heart and to give everything you got. If you are willing to let go in favour of your health, then get your shit together, you can do it. It's possible, I'm the living proof. Trust your strength and never stop believing. And for fucks sake, no one ever goes trying to make me feel embarrassed about my muscles again. I'm not. I'm perfectly ok, just like everyone else. #nojudging #crossfit @crossfit #fightforit #muscles #health #trusttheprocess #believe #eatingdisorderrecovery #awareness #support #loveyourself #bodyimage #fullass #getshitdone #loveyourbody #recovery #addictivepersonality #drugs #overcoming #bulímia #anorexìa #sweatpink #fitfluential
