No Bake Chewy Protein Bars

I teased you with the pictures of these bars a few weeks ago on Instagram and Facebook, and today I am presenting the recipe!

And this will also go up on Kierston’s page for sure…..

This recipe is not my own creation, it is inspired by the No-Bake-Almond-Fudge-Protein-Bars from Amanda, and by the homemade protein bars from Erin, my coach. I made a few little twists and I can really recommend making them, as they are easy and delicious.

Ingredients for the bars (10 servings):

150g oats

4 tbsp TVP (optional – but it gives a NICE crunch and added protein!)

3 scoops vanilla protein powder

2 tbsp shredded coconut

1 tbsp ground flaxseed

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tbsp vanilla

pinch of seasalt

1 heaped tbsp almond butter

1 heaped tbsp coconut butter

For the frosting:

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 tbsp raw unsweetened cacao powder

1 tsp powdered steviaIMG_1039

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Add in the almond butter and mix well.

Add slowly tiny amounts of water and keep kneading – it shouldn’t get too wet, otherwise it won’t stick together!

Combine all the frosting ingredients in a separate bowl.

Roll out the dough in a flat pan or tupperware and drizzle with the frosting.

Freeze for 30-40 minutes.

After freezing, cut in squares and store in the fridge.

What is your favorite store bought bar?

What did you snack on today?

  3. Sorry I didn’t get back to your e-mail yet, love — my inbox has become a scary place 😕 These look delicious, though, and I love the little changes that you made! Using protein powder and cocoa for the frosting is genius 😀

I can’t eat most storebought bars because of my allergies, so homemade is where it’s at for me. Plus, they’re so customizable that it’s impossible to get bored.

  4. These bars look yummy! I am a big fan of KIND bars. Even though they aren’t overly high in protein, their fat content more than compensates in terms of satiety :)! Today’s snack was roasted almonds & raisins- love trail mix!

  5. They look delicious! Finally a bar that doesn’t include dates ( I rarely have them), so I can make some!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 My day just got much better. thanks!

  6. Yum! I love Amanda’s no bake protein bars so no doubt these will be a winner too- I love Quest bars but my wallet does not…lucky I have all these recipes to rectify it! 🙂

  7. Those look absolutely delicious and your photography skills are awesome!!!

  8. These look and sound delicious! I love the idea of a no-bake bar too, since my oven appears to be possessed and unable to bake things properly. 🙂 Hope your day is going well!

  9. These look so good! I really need to start making more protein bars at home – I like having bars for snacks when I’m out and about, but store-bought ones get pricey!

  10. I might just wind up eating the frosting by itself, off a spoon, ALL DAY LONGGG. lol

  11. Can you send me some please? They look incredible!

Thanks for linking up to #recipefriday! 🙂 xo

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
