Hey friends!

I am back – unfortunately. Ok, I was looking forward to coming home like I always do when I was away, but this time, I DEFINITELY preferred to stay a little longer in beautiful Engadina/St.Moritz. It was definitely marvelous….

I will bombard you now with a gazillion beautiful pics, BUT the food is still to come – on Wednesday!! Now look out why I didn’t want to leave…

I went for an early strength and Interval Cardio session early morning, and when I came back, we were soon ready to take off….

Driving through unreal worlds….

Instead of checking in the hotel, we rode up the slopes – there was only one mountain railway that was open, since it was off season, but we did not regret it – beside that I should have taken my snowboard! I didn’t think that the slopes were ready to ride! I miss snowboarding and can not wait to ride the first time this season!

After checking in, we chilled in the fancy hotelroom and then got ready for dinner. And spread our stuff all over the place…..IMG_1867

They have a fabulous pizzeria in the hotel, so we went straight there. Let me tell you, dinner was heaven – but you will have to wait until Wednesday to find out.

We slept in on Saturday morning, had breakfast and then strolled through St.Moritz. It was cloudy and just when we decided to head back to the hotel to drop our stuff and go for a long walk, it brightened up. Perfect.

IMG_1948And also about this guy.

IMG_5422After a few hours of walking, talking and taking pics, we were STARVING and exhausted, so food it was. Isn’t it the best, when you’re freezing, tired and hungry and then you get a warm place and FOOD? SO perfect.

And then we were SO ready for the Spa….

IMG_5450 IMG_5451Back in the room, we watched the first part of Hunger Games which is perfect, cause the second part is coming soon to the cinema, and I needed an update – I keep forgetting movies pretty soon after I watched them. #blonde

Sunday morning I was awake early, and took advantage of the little gym they had on the top floor. It was not much, but absolutely fine for an intense Cardio session and some abwork – and I LOVED the view!!

IMG_5454 IMG_5455Sadly, we had to check out right after breakfast and made our drive home.

If this wasn’t a MARVELOUS weekend, then I don’t know what is. Watch out for WIAW – you don’t want to miss all that delicious food we had!

Have you ever been to the Swiss Alps?

What was a highlight of your weekend?

  1. I LOVE your gray fingerless gloves!! That style is my favorite🙂.

  2. BEAUTIFUL pictures!🙂

  3. I don’t blame you for not wanting to leave — it looks breathtaking. I’ve never been to the Swiss Alps, but I’d love to visit one day. Until then, at least I have our Canadian Rockies to enjoy😀 Honestly, though, put me in the mountains and I’m a happy camper. There’s really nowhere I feel more at peace and in-tune with myself.

Oh wow, it looks super duper beautiful there! I can see why you’d want to stay there!
All the snow makes me happy! Too bad we never get any where I live, and I live in Canada so that’s pretty sad ha.
Oh man, this weekend was all kinds of crazy – not sure on the best part!

    Hi Lucie!

Beautifull pictures! As I also leave in Switzerland I am going to the Swiss Alps. I just love it and we are so lucky go leave in this country: lake, mountains, chocolate ;-))
Weekend as really good with lots of célébration and good workouts.
Looking forward your food pictures on wednesday!

    Have a great week!!

  6. The scenery looks absolutely breathtaking. I can tell why you didn’t want to come home – however I’m happy you did because I’ve missed ya!

It’s just so wonderful you & your mother (who is equally as beautiful as you) were able to get away for a girls weekend. It looks and sounds like y’all had a fabulous time!

  7. WOW- there’s no way I could’ve left….the mountains look BEAUTIFUL! Aside from London’s sad excuse for snow, I’ve never experienced “real” snow! I’d love to go skiing one winter and after this post, I know exactly where!

  8. Ma cherie, this looks absolutely amazing- so glad you got to spend some time avec la mere and in such a beautiful place- I’m vicariously living through you!

Such stunning scenery! I especially love those photos of the bird on your hand – I am a big bird lover, and it’s just enchanting to see that happen in the wild. I found Hunger Games scary, but I’m still keen to watch #2.🙂

    • I know, I was so excited when these little guys came so close! So beautiful!
I know what you mean about the Hunger Games – I found it scary too, but I just couldn’t stop watching!

I read this posts several times and couldn’t figure out where in Alps? Was it St. Moritz? I love the Swiss Alps, spent a week in July hiking in Grindlewald, Wengen, general areas. Exceptionally beautiful. Do you have any other hiking areas that you recommend? Can’t wait to go back. Your pictures are gorgeous, but can’t really go wrong with Switzerland. I envy you!
