Hey Loves!

It’s MIMM time! Click on the pic to find some more marvelous posts for today’s Monday!

MiMM-2

If you read last week’s TBT post, you had a good laugh about some old pics of me….but I saved one for you today which is THE laugh of the day. image

That was a dress up party, where we were supposed to be some kind of sportstar. We went as Aerobic Chicks. I spare you with the sight of our neon-colored strings we wore on the bottom of this ‘costume’…….but hey, we placed 3rd!!

Ok, so now that we started off with some old stuff, I want to tell you, that I had a NICE date on Wednesday night in the VIP Area with this guy….

IMG_5362 IMG_5373It’s a little lie. We did sit in the VIP area, but it was only me looking at him, I don’t think he noticed me, haha🙂 Roger Federer was playing at the Swiss Indoors in Basel. He obviously loves to play in his hometown and we loved to have him here!

But now on to the weekend! I had my Bestie over in Zurich on Friday and I loved it! SHe took her afternoon off work and we went to do some shopping for her (I did enough lately! All I needed was socks🙂 )

I loaded up on  socks!

When we got home in the evening, we threw on homewear and I rushed into the kitchen as we were starving. Sylvia kept me entertained while I was cooking up some delicious food….

I sprinkled it with the coconut chips I got in Sara’s package and the made it perfect! It was a little spicy and the chips gave a touch of sweetness which was perfect

IMG_1718Right after dinner we collapsed on the couch with tea and a movie. Perfect girlsday in my books.

We had some dessert too – I was so lucky to get to try the dessert bars from Rythm108! A review will follow soon – finally a GREAT healthy product made in Switzerland!

Saturday morning I was up early and starving….and since we scheduled brunch with another friend and Sandro only at 11:30, I decided to have food, cause there was no way I could wait that long…

Eggy Oats - what else?

Eggy Oats – what else?

We met up later at our favorite coffee place to have more tea and coffee and some food.

I am in LOVE with my Rooibos and coconut milk!!

A quick walk to the post office brought me this….

IMG_1724A package from Amanda! I love everything – especially the MISTO spray. You can add your favorite oil and then use it like a normal cooking spray. I already used it for cooking and it’s perfect! One thing did not make it into the pic, because they were inhaled 1 minute after opening the package….

4 people standing over this package and stuffing their faces with Canadian Apple Chips. Now that was a nice image🙂 At least I understand now what the obsession is all about. They’re REALLY good.

After saying goodbye, Sandro and me went off to do groceries and we kept being outside, since it was a LOVELY and warm fall day. Though I did move as LITTLE as possible, cause it was my restday and my body really felt tired. So hanging around in the sun it was and walking JUST when it was undeniable.  Until it was time for dinner…

Heartshaped beefburgers and steamed greens. Hmmm.

Heartshaped beefburgers and steamed greens. Hmmm.

I used to restrict on my resdays in the past (IF there were any restday at all) – I thought, if I don’t work out, I don’t really need food. Gosh, IMPOSSIBLE thoughts today. I figure I sometimes eat even MORE on my restdays. It seems like the rest-or growing days catch up on me and I am ok with that. Body wants food, give that body food.

When I woke up on Sunday, it was grey and raining outside. We had one hour plus, cause of the time change and I decided to do a home workout – 45 Spinning and some strength. I had a whole day of home-office-clearing-out to look at so it was good to get some movement in!

Our home office was a nightmare and I am SO happy it is clean now! Sandro came down with a terrible cold and feeling sick, so we spent the day inside and I did some experimenting in the kitchen. Recipes coming!

Dinner was nice and fresh – I went for the coconut curry again, this time with baked codfish and topped with dried tomatoes! So good.

That’s already it! A nice fall weekend definitely on the quiet site! Happy Monday everyone!!

  1. The fact that you were THAT close to Federer has me pretty jealous. He really is such good eye candy😉😉

  2. Sounds like an amazing weekend- I love watching the tennis, how lucky you were VIP with Federer!

Glad you had some time with the bestie, and the fact that you didn’t restrict being a rest day and all- you have fine mentality, mon ami! Looking forward to the swiss bar review- its great that they are branching out there!

  3. 11:30 is basically lunch time for me — there’s nooooo way I’d be able to wait that long for breakfast, so I definitely don’t blame you for wanting to have your oats first. And a coffee/tea date followed by a movie night with your girl sounds absolutely perfect. I’m pretty sure that coffee will always have first place in my heart, but I can’t go a day without tea either.

    Happy Monday, lovely!

    • I could wait until 11:30 if I would really sleep in, like until 10 or something…but I was awake at 8am and there was no way to be witout food for almost 4 hours🙂

  4. Those burgers are ADORABLE- it’s too bad Valentine’s Day is still a few months away :D! Choosing between tea and coffee is almost impossible for me, but if I had to base that in terms of frequency, tea would get my vote- I am drinking a cup almost all day especially during winter! Have you tried the Think Thin bar yet? Despite the awful name, they are really yummy…one of my favorite bars to date!

  5. mitchell-james says:

Coffee all the way! LOVE starting my morning with a cup made at home, it keeps me sane🙂

Seriously, that looks like such an epic weekend of great food and good times!

The baked salmon and heart-shaped beef look to die for! My meals ‘never’ turn out looking that good😛 And the oats topped with blueberries? That’s my idea of heaven🙂

  6. What a great haul you got in the post!!

Love how that veggie salmon bowl looked, delicious❤

I am team tea all the way! I used to be way too addicted to coffee and gave it up a few years ago now I am all about my tea and chai lattes!

    Happy Monday!

  7. Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend! And we all know my intense dislike for coffee, so I am a tea girl all the way😉 Eric has actually started requesting that we have tea more often, so I’m happy to drink it more too.

And heart shaped burgers? That is adorable – I want some of those!

  8. Oh, that sounds like an amazing weekend: Federer, coffee, shopping with your bestie…all of which is seriously awesome.🙂 Also, I love those heart-shaped burgers — they’re fabulous! Happy Monday!

  9. Federer?! Ahhhhh!!!

I think he even distracted me from all the deliciousness int his post. That says a lot.😉

  10. SO much marvelousness!! Hmm…where to begin? Maybe with Mr. Beautiful Hot Man Federer?! Uhhuhh. That sounds about right.😉 I didn’t realize he was from Basel! How fun that you and had the opportunity to watch him play! Oh, and I have no doubt that he was checking you out. You must have just been looking the other way.😉 (We won’t tell Sandro).

Speaking of beautiful things…the fish dinner you prepared with your bestie is absolutely gorgeous! *Swoon* I love love love the idea of sprinkling the coconut chips on top of curry, and will most definitely be giving it a try soon. I’m so relieved that the package finally arrived – and that yours arrived here, too! I was a chocolate eating machine all weekend long (that Ovalmaltine…gahh!) Fortunately I took a few pictures before the sugar fest began, which I still need to upload to my computer! Once I do, I’ll be sure to show it off on Instagram.😉

Love all the contents of Amanda’s package – especially those apple chips! Whenever I see them, I think of her! Oh, and those heart-shaped burgers are too cute. Such a fun dinner idea!

I’ve always been a cofee person, however over the last year, I’ve started drinking more tea. Now I have at least a cup of each every day. #addict😉

Sending big hugs to you, my dear Lucie!!❤ xoxoxo

    • Awww girl, I MISSED your comments so much!
Thank you for all your sweet words, I love you!
I SO hope that you will make it to Switzerland anytime soon and we can have a grislnight together! Or even better girlsDAYS! I mean, we have so much to cover – eating Fondue, Shopping, going to the gym together (you could be my personal trainer, ha!)🙂 lying at the lake, taking 3289790329748392 pics…..
Oh, and when we’re at it, maybe we can sneek in a date with Federer – YES, he is from the same hometown like me, so proud!🙂
