Marvelous in my Monday – Back home

Good morning and happy Monday!!

I am back from my vacation – which is sad on one hand but on the other hand….it’s good to be home. There is no place like home and despite the weather I was looking forward to be home sweet home. Especially, cause I could indulge on some highly missed products…..

Roasted Kabocha!

Roasted Kabocha!

Almond Butter. 2 weeks without ANY nutbutter is crazy!!

AND Pancakes of course!!

AND Pancakes of course!!

This all is a reason to celebrate and thanks to Katie we make this Monday marvelous!!

I won’t say too much here in this post, it really is just a little picture recap of my vacation in Spain. I will save the foodpics for Wednesday, sorry!

So like mentioned, in our second week, we headed off to Marbella for 2 days which was WONDERFUL. Great hotel with a huge pool, stunning weather and just enjoying life. It also had a gym, which was tiny, Β but perfect for me. If there is a treadmill for sprints and some iron to lift, I am happy!

Then we drove up to Ronda, which is about an hour from Marbella in the mountains. A nice, small and beautiful town.

I am not sure who eats this. And even better pays NINE euros for it. Haha?!!

The rest of the vacation was the same perfect routine….workouts at the beach, breakfast at home (the beach house), spending the afternoon at the beach, dinner on the terrasse or out.

IMG_1299IMG_1307On the last 2 days Sandro’s parents came back! They travelled around in Portugal and will now stay for 3 more weeks in the house. It was so nice to have their company and we spent 2 wonderful days together!

That’s it! Food pics coming on Wednesday, plus I created a delicious light dessert which I want to share this week and some of my fashion shopping. I wish you a GOOD Monday!!

Preferred vacation destination: Beach or Mountains? Or a city?Β

Where will you travel next?Β

Do you bring your food on vacation? I brought my glutenfree oats plus protein powder, as I didn’t know if they have this there. Other than that, I found all I needed EXCEPT kabocha and almond butter. Which is standable, but difficult πŸ™‚

  1. Looks like a wonderful vacation! The scenery is so beautiful! Spain has always been a place I wanted to go. Hopefully, I will be able to get there at some point. It looks amazing!

  2. Looks like an awesome vacation! Loved all your pictures!! πŸ™‚

  3. I am absolutely obsessed with Justin’s AB right now, especially the maple flavor…I seriously cannot get enough!

  4. What beautiful pics! Looks like a wonderful trip, I loved Spain but didn’t make it to Rhonda. You killed your workouts there too πŸ™‚ I made your eggy oats with kabocha and almond butter a little while ago… I thought you’d approve!

  5. Your trip looks like it was amazing Lucie, but I have to say that I’m selfishly happy to have you back — I’ve missed hearing from you!

The ocean is lovely, but I have to admit that I’m a mountains, lakes, and forests girl at heart. Maybe it’s because I grew up around them, but they always feel more comforting to me. That being said, I definitely don’t mind the warmth of the beach — which is probably why I run to it when winter hits.

  6. Lucie- you take such beautiful photos. Perhaps it’s because of the wonderful camera you got from your Momma a little while back? Either way, I’m jealous! Your whole vacation just looks and sounds absolutely amazing. You & Sandro are beyond adorable =)

  7. Beautiful trip my friend- looks amazing (Even moreso than the ones I stalked on instagram)!!

That asparagus dish sounds…um. yum? and for 9 euros? Bargain…..

As great as the trip looks, I’m so glad your back πŸ˜‰ Personally, I love abit of both- beach for one or two days but then I get bored so I need some crazy, city action!

  8. Welcome back, Lucie- I missed your posts :)! Your trip looks like a blast and you are looking gorgeous- jealous of that tan you scored! I usually prefer beach holidays but part of me is starting to gravitate towards the quaint & cosy aspect of mountain trips..if only there was a way to avoid the cold!! I usually carry a few snack bars when I travel just to hold me over. This time I also brought a baggy full of Bran Flakes to tie me over before hitting up the grocery store!

    • I love the mountains too! And since I live quite close to the Swiss Alps, it’s a must every year. But I agree – the cold is the hard part!
And I always have some bars with me as well in case hunger hits in!

  9. All I can say is that is absolutely beautiful! I don’t want to be jealous but…. I am. You two are adorable by the way!

  10. Love all of the beautiful pics! I always bring tons of my food favorites with me when I travel, if it’s possible. My favorite place to travel to is for sure the beach. Our next BIG vacation will be a trip to Disney World, next year. So glad to have you back!

  11. Every single one of these pictures is stunning! I’m a little bit jealous ;). My next trip is to Chicago in November, and my next out of the country trip is to Costa Rica in December. Wahoo!

love your pictures!!! looks like you had an amazing time!!
i love beach/city for holidays depending on my mood; although I’ve never actually been on a mountain/trek style holiday before so it might be fun!
I’m not sure where I’m going next year year – we’re looking to do a cruise of the med so fingers crossed!

  13. Looks like a gorgeous vacation! I’m definitely jealous. I’m more of an ocean girl myself – which is weird because I’m not a swimmer at all, it just looks so pretty to me.

  14. Lisa says:

Wow, it is absolutely gorgeous there! The views are stunning.
I’m glad your back to blogging, I missed you!
And definitely the best part about returning from vacay is the fact you can eat all your favorite foods again;)

GORGEOUS pictures!! The mountains look amazing and that’s got to be the coolest looking pool I’ve ever seen! And you look freaking ahhhhhhhh-MAZING, girl!! I love that pic of you and Sandro…you look so incredibly happy! And Sandro with the steak? Omg! Hahaha! So glad to hear you had a great time! I like the mountains, but am definitely more of a beach kind of girl!

I can’t believe you didn’t take ANY nut butter with you on the trip! Talk about withdrawals! Lol

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. β€š'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
