Hey Lovies!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! It’s time for some marvelousness and how better to get it then with the MIMM party hosted by my favorite DIVA?


Hm…not so sure how to describe this weekend. I had really great times at 2 fun and lovely events, but the rest….was kind of off. Let’s just say, that as much as I practise positive thinking, it’s not always everything unicorns and rainbows in my life, so this weekend I just battled with some negativity in my head. No relapse and nothing ED related, but I just got a little overwhelmed. But let’s start with the fun, because there was lots of it!

Friday morning, I started my day early with a short and intense sprint session at the lake. It was beautiful. I really don’t want the summer to end, I just love these bright and fresh mornings!


Later on and as always on Friday Lunchtime in Zurich, I joined the Bootcamp class. One of my favorite workouts of the week! 999156_625661337465492_804706661_n


I was starving when I came home – thank God Lunch was prepared already.

In the evening, I went with my Bestie to see Robbie Williams live!! He is pretty famous here in Europe and I am an ‘old’ fan – and he did not disappoint! Besides that the weather was perfect for an outdoor concert, Robbie just is a born Entertainer and I love his music.

I took a restday on Saturday and slept in. It was so nice and I felt really relaxed. Even though, I just felt kind of blue and I had no idea why. I just couldn’t feel my usual energy and had no motivation to do anything at all. Even though, Sandro and me went to enjoy some sun at the lake which was nice. My moodlifter of the day was my date with the girlscrew at night! Unfortunately one of us 5 got sick and had to stay home, but the rest of us had a blast. We started with some appetizers and predrinks at home….

…and then headed off to an outdoor festival just around the corner of our friend’s house, where we enjoyed music, drinks and chats.


I had to leave a little earlier to catch the tram and got home shortly after midnight. Before we met again for breakfast, I got in a great leg workout and a run with Sandro at the lake. I love my workouts after a restday, my energy is just even better.

I proposed to have brunch picnic style at the lake and already bought all the stuff on Saturday for us. We met down at the lake and enjoyed our breakfast in the sun. Of course, I brought my oats and omelette 🙂

Later, when I was home, some of the blue feelings creeped back in and I decided to just take a nap, prep my meals, blog, cook dinner and then move on to a new week. I am not sure where this minimini-depression is coming from, but I don’t freak out either like I used to do in the past. We all have our ‘blah’-days and they pass – and I know when a new day starts, things look different.

  1. I had a “blah” day yesterday too. I just felt kinda lonely and low on energy. The important thing to do on these days is surround yourself with things that make you happy and move on. I find that when I see friends or do something productive, I feel much better. The picture of your brunch spread brought back so many memories of being in Germany. I love breakfast in Europe because there always seem to be a million kinds of jam and things you can put on top of the delicious fresh bread that is never as good in Canada 🙂

    • Yes, I love this – surrounding yourself with things that make you happy! Will make sure I do that even more at the moment!
      Oh and you’re right – we do have tons of jams and spreads to put on bread – and the bread is what I always miss when I travel away from Switzerland, it is so good!

  2. Ah sorry to hear you were in a bit of a funk over the weekend, but I am glad you realised that it’s not just you- we all go through them, and sometimes for no reason whatsoever! Hope you’re feeling better today and what better motivation than a brand new week ahead of us :)! I can’t believe you saw Robbie Williams- SUCH a throwback! I used to listen to him so much as a he still making music? Have a great Monday, Lucie :)!

      Oh yes, I was such a HUGE fan of Robbie and I still like him a lot. He released a new album this year, though in my opinion it can not top the oldies 🙂

  3. Yes you may of had a weekend full of blues, but it happens to all of us. I’m just very happy that you didn’t let it ruin the plans you & your girlfriends had.

    Everything about your girls night out (yes pre drinks is a MUST 🙂 Ha Ha), and brunch the following day just sounds like such a blast. Sounds like y’all had a fabulous time. Never forget how lucky y’all are to have one another!

    • It was absolutely lovely to hang out with them! We don’t see each other as much as we used to, due to different cities, jobs, kids etc. so we savour every moment of our get togethers!

  4. I had a blah day this weekend too – there must be something in the air right now! I get these quite often, and mostly for no particular reason…I’ve just come to accept they are part of who I am. Usually I have a cry and get it out and then I feel better – strange huh! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend Lucie, despite the ‘blah’ day 🙂 x

    • Oh I am sorry you were in a funk too! Obviously there is something in the air. And that’s right, I try to accept them too and just let it be – fighting it makes it even worse!

  5. Sorry to hear about the slight funk, love. You’re right – we all go through times like that, but the good news is that they usually pass as mysteriously as they come. I think one of the biggest things that helps me get through them is not beating myself up for not being all sunshine and rainbows. I try to be positive and upbeat, but sometimes it’s just not possible and that’s perfectly okay… there’s no reason to feel guilty or bad about it and just add to the negativity. I do hope that you’re feeling better today though ❤

      You are so right, beating myself up makes it even worse. Fortunately I learned to just accept these days and go through them and try to do things that make me feel good. I know these days pass unexpectedly and I will feel better!

  6. So sorry to hear you’ve been a little blue. I hate when that happens and like you, I try to keep a positive attitude and tell myself, tomorrow is a new day and it will be better. I am glad that you had some fun this weekend, that probably helped with the blue feelings. Love the idea of a breakfast picnic!

  7. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling a little blue my dear! It does happen to the best of us though – we just have to ride it out and it’ll disappear all on it’s own. I’m glad that you still had a great weekend though, I don’t make it out to too many concerts anymore but they’re always a lot of fun!

    Totally know what you mean about the ups and downs. I think it can be hard for people to admit they’re feeling “down”, but that’s human! We are meant to feel the ebbs and flows of life and that’s perfectly okay that every moment isn’t happy and perfect!
    However, there are things that can definitely brighten our spirits and I so agree with those little things.
    Like all the things you mentioned in this. Especially the drinks:)

    • Thank you Hunn! I am glad I can accept the ebbs and flows these days and not beating me up for it. Sticking to a positive outlook and appreciating the little things already makes such a big difference!
