It’s midweek!

And we all know what a Wednesday means…..it’s WIAW. Woot!

I love what the grocery stores offer now at this season. Everything seems to be even fresher and more colorful than in any other season of the year. I got some fresh produce this week…

…which went right into a juice…..

Inspired by all the freshness and whole foods around me, I was craving freshly prepared meals during this week. It took me quite some time to prep, but it was worth it. Starting my day off with a workout, then heading to the office all day and maybe have an appointment at night creates the need of meal prep. Once it’s done, my week is supereasy and relaxed and I LOVE to have my fresh meals on hand to grab and go.

Breakfasts:

A piece of Tone it Up ‘Chocolate’ Almond Bliss Bars – absolutely heavenly!!!

I love all the fresh and whole foods – it just tastes SO much better than any processed stuff. Besides that, it makes me feel fit and vitalized – exactly why all the food prep is absolutely worth it!

Besides that it gives me a superboost in energy. I changed up my workout routine a bit. 4 times strength instead of 3, split up in musclegroups and some more intense interval cardio. 1-2 fun aerobic – or bootcamp classes in between – WORKS. Especially in the early morning when it’s still cool enough!

  3. I’ve never even heard of white almond butter before, but seeing as I love all things AB, I’d really love to give it a try. Save me some for when I [eventually] come visit😉 And I’m definitely with you on the fresh foods… nothing makes me feel better!

  4. I’m loving all that salmon! I need to get some more when I finally get back in town. Right now I’m all about oranges, berries, and beets. And kabocha, as always.🙂

    Really glad you liked the sweet potato ribbons! Thanks for the shout out. I think I need to try it with kabocha next!

    My Sister is coming from France this week-end and she Will bring me some goodies from a big bio shop including this white almond butter! Looking forward to try it! Where do you buy it here in Switzerland?
    I am like you, I spend a lot of time on sundays with the prep for the week, but as you said it is so worth it! Right now my favorite are avocado, sweet potatoes and any fresh fruits. I could live only on fresh fruit ;-)!

    • Ah that’s great, you will love it! I bought it in a WHole Foods store. But you can also get it in the bakery goods area in a big Coop. It’s so good!

  6. White almond butter…that sounds like a dream come true!! Those brownies look amazing and I can’t wait to try them out! Glad to see your summer is going well and you are able to enjoy lots of fresh produce!! I prep on Sundays and Wednesdays but with moving things have been hectic so not planning as much since we are trying to see friends and family before we take off🙂 lots of love your way

  7. White almond buttter?? Say whaaaaat – that sounds (and looks awesome)!! What is it with fresh produce and summer- it all tastes so good! Aside from berries, I can’t get enough of zucchini & roasted squash lately…and spinach!

  8. I don’t really prep at the weekend as such, but I do vaguely meal plan in my head. I also tend to keep meals simpler in the week and put the more time consuming/complex things on the weekend menu!

  9. Everything looks amazing Lucie! I saw those Tone It Up bars last week and have been dying to make them. I think you convinced me I need to because they look so good! Happy Wednesday🙂

  10. Intrigued by the almond butter, I’ve never heard of a white version before! I don’t food prep at all…I really should though, I know it would save me a lot of time when I’m starving and have to wait for my food to cook😉

  14. That’s such a good idea to put oatmeal in your omelettes! I’m going to start trying that to make mine a little more filling! And how did you make that baked turkey? It almost looks like it’s breaded, even though I know it’s not.

    • I love oatmeal in my omelette! It really makes it so satisfying!
      I just sprayed the baking sheet, marinated the turkey in all the spices before and then spread it on the baking sheet. Then I sprayed it again with olive oil cooking spray like crazy🙂 That’s it!
