Good morning and happy Monday!

I was such a bad blogger last week, I took a blogcation on Monday AND on Friday. Well, this was due to a holiday we had here – 1st of August is Switzerland’s birthday and so my weekend started on Wednesday night – that’s why I didn’t spend too much time on the computer. Sorry for that. I owe you a big update today! ANd it’s going to be marvelous…..


My LONG weekend started with a BBQ on Wednesday night at my boss’ house. Well. I could definitely imagine living there (not because of my boss – even though he is a great guy – but look at that garden):

We travelled to Zurich the same night and enjoyed the holiday at the lake. Summer is still going strong here and I hope it will last much longer! I don’t even remember how it feels to wear pants or socks.


I did a Chest/Back Workout in the morning and then went to the gym late afternoon/early evening for an incline walk on the treadmill. It is so hot currently, there is no way to move too much outside during the day. I enjoyed the deserted gym for a long stretching session, including selfie.

Friday was an easy day, Sandro had to work and I went for a quick intense sprint session in the morning, then did some errands and hung out at the lake. Lunchtime Fitness was the Zurich City Bootcamp! I haven’t been to the training for 2-3 weeks now, cause my schedule didn’t allow it, so despite the heat I joined in on Friday. We worked out in the old town of Zurich which was great, because it wasn’t as crowded as on the lake and most of the time we ran and pumped in the shadow. Except for the last exercise – crawling backwards in the park!

Rise and Shine happened on Saturday morning! I cycled down to the lake and went for an early swim (6am). I absolutely LOVE this. It’s like a huge pool all on my own. Peaceful, quiet, chilly, beautiful.

Ah, how I love summer! I save a few stories and pics for a later post, I think this one is long enough now!

  1. Is it just me, or has Sandro been involved in much more posts lately?! It definitely makes me smile to see that you two have been able to spend more time together (except for this upcoming week:().

    p.s. Ask your boss if he’s hiring! I’ll be there in a flash haha

    • That’s right! He loves to be famous, haha 🙂 and yes, the weekends are mostly spent together since we’re separated during the week!
      ps. How beyond awesome would it be if you were my colleague????

  3. What a weekend!! Looks marvelous indeed :)! Summer is really spoiling all of us- I don’t even want to imagine putting on jeans, let alone jackets, in a few months! Your salads look SO yum- along with salmon, I love avocado, feta, and roasted squash in salads…and of course a boat load of veggies ;)!

  5. I wouldn’t mind living in your boss’ place either! That garden is amazing!! I actually don’t find that a lot of people have pools up here where I live… Probably because it’s cold more often than not, and summer is pretty short lived. That being said, I wish it would last for a little bit longer. I’ve already noticed the days getting a little shorter, and as much as I love fall, I’m not quite ready to let go yet…

    • There aren’t many pools around here either, same reason because of the weather AND because it really is expensive.
      Oh yes….I am already panicking that the cold is coming back too soon. Not ready! !

  7. What a great weekend you had…. love all of the pics! My favorite summer breakfast would be yogurt bowls, cereal bowls or overnight oats. I love topping my salads with fruit in the summer!

  10. It’s official. I want to move to Switzerland. Your pictures are just so beautiful! I think my favourite salad topping is either avocado or caramelized onions. Candied pecans are also right up there 🙂

  11. Looks like such a fun weekend! My parents have a pool, but it’s not nearly that nice…I’ve only been in it once this summer! I definitely eat more salads in the summer, I had one yesterday that had butternut squash and dried cranberries included in it’s toppings, which was awesome! My workout routine has changed a little this summer, but that’s just because I’m working a 9-5 so I have to squish in as much as I can in the mornings!

    • Oh your salad sounds so good! I can not wait for the squash season to be back!
      And same here – working all day means workout in the morning. I can not move my butt to the gym after work!

    Yep – your bosses place looks quite amazing. I wouldn’t mind living there one bit.
    Only one of my friends have a pool, otherwise they’re not too common around where I live since it’s usually rain city.
    My favorite Summer breakfast is cold cooked oats. Maybe weird, but I still love them even if it’s hot.

No filter. And no one ever tells me again bullshit like that CrossFit makes me look like a man. Left side, 1998 (19y), ~60kg, in an abusive relationship, fueled by a daily dangerous skinny drug cocktail which almost killed me and hours of cardio, no lifting and an oh so fucked up mindset. Right side, 19 years later today (39y), ~68kg (~8kg gainzzz!!). Recovered from 20 years of extreme disordered eating and drugs; and passionate about CrossFit. A healthy mind (pretty much at least 😏😉), a healthy body, freedom and a joy of life I had never experienced before. To be alive and healthy is a fucking miracle. I've always been a stubborn kid and I never half-assed things - contrary, I went and still go full-ass with everything I did and do - which also led me to extreme addictions. But it also allowed me to fight through suicidal thoughts and hurdles. Yet, if you want to overcome something so incredibly strong and stubborn like an Eating Disorder you have to be stronger and more stubborn and to want it with all your heart and to give everything you got. If you are willing to let go in favour of your health, then get your shit together, you can do it. It's possible, I'm the living proof. Trust your strength and never stop believing. And for fucks sake, no one ever goes trying to make me feel embarrassed about my muscles again. I'm not.
