Friday Favorites – Blog Love

26. July 2013 by swissfitchick

Hey friends!!

I try to cut this post really short, because look at this….

And I mean, since I have Fridays off, you better believe I am already in my bikini ready to jump into the cold beautiful lake. I am a mean bitch girl, I know.

I hope your week’s been treating you well so far and you are ready to start off the weekend as soon as possible! I had again some great 6am workouts at the gym. I am so hooked by my free weights lifting routines paired with kettlebell exercises and cardioblasts in between.

And just as nice were the dinner-summer-nights in the park restaurant or on the balcony.

It’s been WAY too long since I linked up my favorite posts of the week!! So here we go, there were some really great reads this week:

Sam talked about feeling guilty when being around restricting people. I could so much relate on this topic. I definitely don’t compare my eating behaviors to others so much anymore, but I still feel like a bottomless foodmachine if I eat a piece of cake and the person next to me strictly doesn’t.

Lisa wrote what beauty means to her. I loved this. Beauty is so much more than just our appearance. Life is beautiful, a smile, flowers, laughter, strength, peace. so MUCH beauty around us which we just have to be aware of. And stop judging our or other people’s visual appearance.

Talking about beauty, THIS recipe certainly is not only beautiful, but sexy!!! Please check out the creatioon of Heather’s Sex Cake. We all want it!!!!!

German-Chocolate-Cake-2Speaking of recipes, I am SO going to make Jessie’s Vanilla roasted Chickpeas!! I can not wait to try them, such a great idea. As a topping on yogurt or smoothies, scrambled with eggs (of course I am thinking of this option), or just plain as a snack. Yumm!

And not to forget a great Work it Out post from Laura: how you can change up your workout routine on vacation and still stay fit and in motion. I am ALL about doing different workouts and exercising on vacation, so love this! PS. The Work it Out posts from Laura are highly recommended by me. There’s a LOT we can learn from the beast this awesome lady!

Now last but not least, I am going to toot my own horn and promote yesterday’s post in which I tell you about my diet-pills addiction and  how I got off them end detoxed. It is something that was a long long struggle for me and only since a few weeks I am physically clean. I am proud and happy to announce this.

Have a wonderful weekend Lovies!!

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
