Tuesday Recipes – Recipe Finds

4. June 2013 by swissfitchick

I have to appologize Lovies, but I have no recipe for you today. Gah.

BUT!! I made some research effort for you and will present a list of recipes I absolutely want to try when I am back from my vacation. There are SO MANY, I had to cut them down a bit and really show you an exclusive selection of some brilliant creations:

1: Laura’s Blood Orange Avocado Scones

I actually got to try one of those. Heather remade them and sent me one in a foodie package. OHMYGOSH. Incredible.

2: Thai Buddha Bowl from Tone it Up

I am actually going to make this tonight! I will add some chicken or giant prawns to uppen the protein and nix the garlic. I am so much looking forward to it, I LOVE cooking with coconut milk!!

3. Sara’s Single Serving Microwave Pumpkin Pie Cake

Do I have to add words??? I don’t think so.

IMG_4245-1024x7554. Jessie’s Flaxseed Bread

I don’t eat bread very often, AKA almost never, but this one looks so good and I love the addition of Flaxseed. Flaxseed make my tummy happy, so it’s worth a try!!

5. Sam’s Chocolate Egg White ‘Oatmeal’:

This is genius!! Such a great switch up for my usual omelette. I love the ingredients and as you may know, I am a huge fan of sweet eggs. Totally going to make this soon!!

6. Kim’s Beet Hummus

I am a huge fan of Hummus. And I love beet! Recipes where you can sneak in some extra veggies are my faves. And dipping? YES!! So this one is perfect!

I am also drooling over this picture here:

7.: Amanda’s Maple-Flax-Sweet-Potato-Fries

They sound to die for, I love the added sweetness and they should be perfect to dip in Hummus!

8. Hannah’s Butternut Squash Tostada with zucchini and carrot tostada shells

Now I think this one is really (like REALLY) brilliant. I mean look at all these colors, all these nutrients and I can only imagine how delicious it tastes! I also love the idea and ingredients of the tostada, I think I could even eat it on its own! #strangebutgood

And last but not least, I am tooting my own horn and will HAVE to repeat my BALLS-recipe!! I love them!

9. Lucie’s Coconut-Protein-Balls

I hope you like this selection of great recipes and will try one of them out!

Any recipe you like to share? Link up in the comment section!

What is the food you DISLIKE the most? Give me anchovies, and I …..yeah. HATE them.

  3. There are definitely a ridiculous amount of delicious recipes out there, so thank you so much for including me in your list hun ❤ The last blog world recipe that I made was a chicken enchilada casserole from Iowa Girl Eats that turned out really fabulous, and I'm going to do some more browsing later on today because I'm feeling the baking itch coming on.

No filter. And no one ever tells me again bullshit like that CrossFit makes me look like a man. Left side, 1998 (19y), ~60kg, in an abusive relationship, fueled by a daily dangerous skinny drug cocktail which almost killed me and hours of cardio, no lifting and an oh so fucked up mindset. Right side, 19 years later today (39y), ~68kg (~8kg gainzzz!!). Recovered from 20 years of extreme disordered eating and drugs; and passionate about CrossFit. A healthy mind (pretty much at least 😏😉), a healthy body, freedom and a joy of life I had never experienced before. To be alive and healthy is a fucking miracle. I've always been a stubborn kid and I never half-assed things - contrary, I went and still go full-ass with everything I did and do - which also led me to extreme addictions. But it also allowed me to fight through suicidal thoughts and hurdles. Yet, if you want to overcome something so incredibly strong and stubborn like an Eating Disorder you have to be stronger and more stubborn and to want it with all your heart and to give everything you got. If you are willing to let go in favour of your health, then get your shit together, you can do it. It's possible, I'm the living proof. Trust your strength and never stop believing. And for fucks sake, no one ever goes trying to make me feel embarrassed about my muscles again. I'm not. I'm perfectly ok, just like everyone else. #nojudging #crossfit @crossfit #fightforit #muscles #health #trusttheprocess #believe #eatingdisorderrecovery #awareness #support #loveyourself #bodyimage #fullass #getshitdone #loveyourbody #recovery #addictivepersonality #drugs #overcoming #bulímia #anorexìa
