Happy Monday to you all!

If the weather is playing its own game, there is not much you can do about it. Normally, this time of the year I walk around in shirts, ballerinas or even sandals, light blouses. Though lately, I rather turn to thick boots, warm rainjackets and gloves on my morning runs.

Well, since there is no choice and my vacation still 14 days away, we just make the best out of it, right? We started our weekend off with our friends at a great Greek Restaurant in Germany. So. much. good.Food.

IMG_3593 IMG_3594Look at these prawns!! I was in heaven. I also loved the appetizer plates with all the different hummus and of course my favorite, the greek salad.

Sandro and me didn’t spend too much time together lately cause I was away in Spain and we had busy weeks at work, him in Zurich, me in Basel. So we decided to plan nothing else this weekend and just enjoy the free time and chill. The weather was perfect to be lazy and inside. We went for a short walk in town, a visit at the mall and a break at Starbucks with my new favorite drink.

We thought about going to see the Great Gatsby in the cinema, but we didn’t want to leave the house anymore, so we stayed home and I created a new recipe – which was delicious&healthy and will be up on tomorrow’s post!!

I passed out pretty early. I was battling a bad cold all week since I was back from Spain and still felt a little under the weather. So a long good sleep was what my body was asking for.

Sandro got up early as he had a Tennis Tournament on Sunday, and I got up when he left. It was cold and windy outside but at least it did not rain, so I went outdoors and did 20 minutes sprints along the lake and 10 minutes of warm up/cool down. Coming home, I added an intense weight lifting session and finished off with ALL 4 Ab Burners from Gina. My abs were on fiiiiiire!!!

Even though I had a lack of appetite after my workout, I tried to get in some fuel about 1 hour later and prepared a delicious mess of dairy. As said before, I am trying to limit dairy to a minimum, but I love it and so once in a while I enjoy a bowl of my pimped sweet curd cheese.

Do you experience a lack of appetite after a workout? I can be hungry before and starving during the workout, but when I come off the shower, everything is gone. This really irritates me. Anyone knows why that is? I don’t like to force myself into food, but when almost 2 hours have passed after an intense workout, I just totally want to fuel.

I may or may not have shed a tear when I realized that I just finished the last package of this bliss……

I cheated on my beloved raw almond butter with this one several times now and I think I have to order more of it to continue this passionate-delicious affair…..

The rest of Sunday continued to be quiet and my laziness stayed strong. The weather did not clear up and I stayed inside except of a 45 minutes walk when Sandro came back from the game. It was great to have all day to finish my to do list (preparing the giveaway packages for the winners, unpacking last Spain stuff, clean up piles of clothes all around the appartment).

I was VERY much looking forward to dinner since I stock up on my favorite seafood, SCALOPS!! Despite the weather we threw them on the grill. Holy yumm……

  1. I’m not quite sure I realized you had been battling a cold all week. I’m sorry girl. I sure hope with all the rest over the weekend you are feeling 100% again! I loved reading about all the time you and sandro spent together this weekend. I know it was much needed for the both of you.

    Oh, and I just finished my last cacao bliss packet too😦 I hadn’t even realized it either until I went to grab another one the following day. It was horribleeeee!!!!

    • No worries Hunn, I did not mention it because I was just annoyed by it and we had much more important stuff to talk about🙂
      I know….i feel lost without Cacao Bliss!!!🙂

  2. Sorry to hear that you’ve been fighting a cold! I hope you’re starting to feel better.

    I experience a definite loss of appetite after a cardio workout. Strength doesn’t seem to affect it, but after a run I have no interest in food for a while. Probably another reason why I seem to be preferring strength to cardio workouts these days!

    And those scallops look incredible…I could always use some more scallops in my life!

  3. Wowsers it IS cold where you are! Sounds like you’re making the best of it, though. I’ve been wanting to see the Great Gatsby, but haven’t yet….I’ve heard very mixed reviews. Happy MIMM!

    • Oh yes, we are waiting since so long for the sun to come out – but it doesn’t look like it does. I guess we just have to accept it and smile!!🙂

    I tend to alwaysss have NO appetite after I workout either, it’s so bizarre and mostly happens after cardio!
    Not sure why that is.
    Hopefully you start feeling better soon! Getting sick is definitely not a fun experience! Get in some rest:) And happy Monday!

    The Great Gatsby is great!😉 saw it wednesday in 3D Decaprio at his best! I have been a bit stuck for ideas for recipes lately. I seem to see loads of ideas then just get overwhelmed and go back to something boring:-/ xxxxx

      Oh I totally know what you mean – I am so boring with my meals most of the time. Just sometimes I get thi creative kick and try something new, mostly on weekends.

  8. There’s so much good food in this post!! I am super full from breakfast, but my mouth is still watering! Your Greek dinner in Germany looks absolutely incredible–I would have been excited about those gorgeous prawns, too. Yum! Also, Greek salad is the best–it’s definitely one of my favorites, especially when lots of feta cheese is involved.😉 And Cacao Bliss? No words! Love love love. Let me know if you want me to send you a few more packets!

    I’m so glad you and Sandro had a relaxing weekend, even though the weather wasn’t so nice. I’m praying for sunshine and blue skies when you’re in the States!

  10. Mmmm that Greek salad looks amazing – nothing I love more than Greek food! The weather is doing a similar flip-flop here in Calgary – hoping that by the time June (!!!) comes next week it’ll have its butt in gear!

  11. Oh now that weather is just cruel! We had a pretty rainy weekend here as well, but I was kind of glad for it because it managed to wash away some of the dust and grit that was left over from winter. Now if we can only get a nice big storm – I love them😀

    And my appetite definitely dies down when I’ve been active. Cardio especially kills it, but then it always manages to catch up with me after a little while.

    • That’s right, the washing away part of the rain is pretty nice. And as long as I don’t have to do errands outside, I am ok with the weather – just not for too much longer🙂
