Friday Favorites – a Photo Walk, a Kickass Workout and more BBQ

Happy Friday!!

I hope you are all excited that weekend is just around the corner! Any fun plans?

After a week of sunshine we get some rain today which I guess is fine, but I just like the sunshine part of the weather better. I am in hope, that it will be back soon!

Before heading off to my weekend, I have some highlights of the week for you.

We took advantage of the last rays of sunlight and inaugurated our new purchase at the office – the grill!! Everyone brought food and after work we just sat outside and threw a little party. Little things make life marvelous.

As you can see, I had to use up chicken, so chicken was also on the plan yesterday for Lunch…

It was much needed, since I came from my workout session with my trainer and they are always extra intense – The workout yesterday was a Cardio-Strength-Circuit. The weather was nice and my trainer decided to do it outside on the parking lot of the gym! 🙂 It was K.I.L.L.I.N.G. – and so much fun!

Oh, and hello booty and arms! This will all turn into a day of walking stairs with a desperate cling on the handrail, tears up, a face marked by pain and taking VERY.SLOW. steps down… experienced that before? I am talking sore muscles – already had that on Tuesday. My first workout on Monday after my restweek was the first heavy weight lifting session this week including squats. Need to say more?

As you may know, I fell in Love with photography lately. So on Wednesday, since the weather was so splendid I went on a ‘Photo-Walk’ over Lunch and snapped around – one of my favorite pastime currently.

Later in the day on Wednesday I went to Crossfit training. We practised Thrusters, oh my shoulders!!

So that was my week so far! To finish this off, I would like to share this beautiful video. You might have seen it before as it is floating around on Facebook and Twitter, but if you didn’t, please watch it. It made me cry, I absolutely love it.

What was the best workout you did this week?

Tell me one thing of your weekend you are looking forward to!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Glad you had a great week! Mine was good too except that we discovered i have a gastritis (nothing important but my stomach hurts way too much so no coffee allowed which is really sad 😉 hopefully it should get better in a few days. Weather was great too in Geneva but today it’s raining wayyyy to much… Have an amazing weekend 🙂

    • Oh I am sorry about your stomach issue!! I hope you feel better soon, take good care!
Today it’s raining nonstop here too, I hope the sun will come back soon!

  3. I really do love your photos! Since I have started blogging, I have fallen in love with photography as well! It’s amazing what you can capture! When we go anywhere, I try to remember to bring the camera, but I always have it on hikes and my husband gets irritated when I stop every 5 seconds to take a picture! Whatevs………I just love it!
I, too, have experienced slow moving due to sore muscles….actually, right now, my legs are pretty stiff! Last night, we had a great workout in karate class….lots of striking techniques and kicking! 🙂

    • Thank you Amy!
Haha, I know what you mean, my man is also pretty irritated when we can not start to eat before I took pics of the food 🙂
      Sounds awesome your karate workout!!

Glad you had a great week! It sure sounds awesome.
And yay for you and Sandro reuniting!
    Happy Friday beauty!

  6. Gorgeous photos, love 🙂 I think it’s beautiful that you fell in love with photography and enjoy going out and capturing unique shots. I can’t wait until the weather is nice enough around these parts for me to be able to do the same. And grilling! Gah! That’s another reason that I’m waiting for the nice weather to hit. I seriously can’t wait to pull out the grill and do some grilling.

Happy weekend, love! We’re celebrating my dad’s birthday this weekend, so I see some cake in my future 😀

    • Thank you Hun! I send some warm weather your way, though I must say today it’s raining since hours.
So exciting that you celebrate your Dad’s birthday, enjoy the cake!!

  7. I love your photo montage, Lucie! Every shot is absolutely beautiful; I can’t wait to see more!

All of your grilled meals are making me crave summertime! It’s raining here today, so I definitely won’t be busting out the grill, but it’s supposed to warm up soon, which means barbecued salmon, chicken, and burgers are in my fear future! So excited!

Girl, your outdoor workout DOES look fun!! And yes, I definitely know that “I can barely sit down on the toilet” sore feeling all too well. I worked my legs yesterday, and can barely walk today. Oof. It will be an interesting weekend! 😉

I hope you have a lovely two days off! Hugs!! ❤ xoxo

    • Thank you Sara! I totally hope for you that spring will finally arrive and you can grill all the goodies.
I think I will be sore all weekend, I’ll be thinking of you!! 🙂 happy weekend beautiful!!

  8. So your photos are INCREDIBLE! I wish I could visit you so you could teach me! My jaw dropped, they are professional! YOU ROCK! I love your workout photos too you look so STRONG! I am developing muscles right now so I am VERY envious! The best workout I did this week was LEGS DAY my booty is STILL sore from leg presses, hack squats + box jumps WOWEE! Sending you an amazing weekend + SUNSHINE (rain stinks) I look forward to MORE of your photos!!! Love + Shine CourtStar

    • Oh thank you girl, you’re so sweet! Oh that wuld be perfect, I could coach you in photography and you me in nutrition and fitness 🙂 your workout sounds awesome, hope your muscles are not too sore! 🙂

  9. Hi Lucy! I’m new to this whole blogging thing, so this is my first time stumbling across your page! Just wanted to day that I absolutely love your posts. Looking forward to more. 🙂

  10. Oh man! Beautiful weather, BBQ, a killer workout, that all looks fantastic! I love that feeling the few days after a brutal workout when your whole body is sore. And you’re right, the steps down are ALWAYS the worst 😉

  11. Aww, that video made me cry too when I first saw it…so touching!

Way to get at those workouts girl!! I seriously have a love/hate relationship with sore muscles…it always make me feel like I should pat myself on the back for a workout well done, but at the same time I want to cry sometimes for all the pain! Of course, I love to complain about it too! Lol

I’ve said it once, but I’ll say it again, girl, you are a NATURAL at photography!! I can’t decide which one I like more, the bike or the books…both are amazing! Let me know when you open up your first gallery! 😉

    • Oh, believe me, I am the BEST whiner when it comes to complain about sore muscles, especially to my trainer. I even send him whine-textes to tell him, how much I suffer 🙂
Awe, thank you girl, that means so much to me! You will get a signed one for free if I ever open a gallery 🙂

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
