Friday Faves – Sun, Fun and Linklove

12. April 2013 by swissfitchick

Good morning and welcome to the almost end of the week! I am excited. It is supposed to get 22Β° this weekend and it will stay like this for at least the half of the next week. Isn’t that wonderful? Spring is finally here! A reason for me to look at spring clothes and take the ones I already bought……

I love this dress. Perfect for spring. I would wear other shoes though. A bright color high heels, or peep toes.

Speaking of dresses, I ADORE this one. I found it in an old post from Greta and already then I couldn’t forget about it. It’s SO PRETTY and perfect.

And this is one of my favorite dresses I own and one of my favorite photos too πŸ™‚ I swear, I have no clue what or who Sandro is yelling at πŸ™‚

Another outfit I am looking forward to wear – skinny white, light easy strip-blouse, and the rose suede pumps.

SONY DSCBesides spring excitement I am enjoying my restweek SO MUCH. I have so much time to do other things like reading, knitting, photographing…..And since I stick to the Whole30 challenge I feel light and energized.

What I love about the Whole30, is that I can eat my favorite food everyday, which is obviously eggs….

SONY DSCSame goes with giant prawns and spinach…..

A random thing that jumped on me the other day is this…

IMG_3302How did you call it? We called it heaven and hell. I played it permanently with my parents. I think they are still sick of it.

I thought that today it’s time again for some linklove. Some really marvelous posts flew around in the blogworld this week, so check them out.

I love the recipe for Tuna Burgers by Jessie. So easy and perfect since I LOVE tuna burgers!

I also loved the post about this quiet home workout. If you are a Mom and don’t want to wake up your baby or you live in an appartment where you can not risk to disturb everyone by doing jumping jacks, this is perfect.

I was excited when I saw Heather and Kasey’s post this week for the #RESTWEEK. They recommend to drink apple vinegar in the morning – which I do! I drink hot lemon water and then a tiny bit of organic apple juice with apple vinegar and it helps my stomach tons.

Sara made me crave Pizza when she posted it this week. As soon as my challenge is over I’d like to try this glutenfree crust. I also love her approach to planned intuitive eating! This is exactly the way it works for me too.

And last but not least a great post from Amanda about the little things they help to get out of a funk. It’s all about the little things, right?

So to end this post, I’ve got some more pics from our trip in Berlin! Nothing exciting, you remember the weather was crap so colorful pics could not happen.

The wall – huge

Typical tourist sightseeing pictures! πŸ™‚

A quick and needed break in between walking and shopping craziness…..

DSC01186So that’s my last post for this week, make sure to pop in on Monday for MIMM! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Do you like to wear dresses? Dresses or pants? I love dresses, but during the week they can be inconvenient since I cycle everyday to work πŸ™‚

What was your favorite game as a kid?

  1. Thanks for the shout out dear!! I remember when Greta posted that green dress. I forgot all about it, so thanks for the reminder. The back to it is just adorable.. and now I want to order it! Ha Ha

Enjoy your weekend love. Talk to you soon!!

  2. I love your style Lucie – especially that striped top and the dress is stunning! I loved those posts too, especially the silent workout. Have a fab weekend!

Love the style! I can’t wait for spring clothes. Finally! Heather and Kasey are doing an amazing job with rest week! I’m so proud of you for taking the week off πŸ™‚

  4. Yay! Happy Friday, love! Thanks so much for the shoutout ❀

I love, love, LOVE that green dress. Omigosh I'm seriously going to have to go looking for something like that, because it's just gorgeous. I do enjoy wearing dresses, but I probably wear pants a whole lot more often simply because they're so much more convenient. That and we don't even really get that much good dress-wearing weather around here, so I guess I just got used to wearing pants. And I remember that game as a little child! But I don't remember what we called it… Good times. But I'd have to say that my favorite game was always Candyland – so many good memories!

  5. I am loving the outfit with the striped shirt! Royal blue and white is such a perfect combination for Spring and Summer! I am liking your style :).

And doesn’t that pizza look SO amazing? I cannot wait to try it, too!

I LOVE DRESSES. I would wear them every day if I had enough. That green one is fabulous.ANd the pumps with your white jeans are making me hyperventilate. And I LOLED at that pic of you and Sandro. SO funny.

I can’t wait to try those tuna burgers either. For some reason I just totally love canned tuna!
Love you! Have a great weekend!

  7. I love that quote- obstacles are opportunities in disguise- its so true!!

I’m so excited for dress season! I LOVE that green one, and the lighter one is super cute. I also love white pants with a flowy top, haha I love all the outfits you posted! Can’t wait for summer! Happy Friday!

I’m a dress girl by far! I actually hate pants with a burning passion haha. If only we could work out in dresses πŸ˜‰ kidding that would be a massive fail and very awkward.
That’s such a great quote, love it.
That’s such a gorgeous dress to! I love the color. You could pull it off so well! Unfortunately, green looks disturbing on me ha.
Hope you have a fantastic Friday love!

  9. kepotts says:

Oh that green dress is to die for! Love it! I prefer dresses in the summertime, they’re just so comfortable! We played a ton of Uno as kids, such an easy game that many people can play. Happy Friday Lucie!

  10. That green dress looks so pretty! And I absolutely adore the picture of you and Sandro – you look so happy!

I’m so excited to wear dresses again. Really, I hate pants – I’m all about the dresses, skirts and shorts!

  11. Happy Friday, love!! Ahh, I adore so much in this post!! First, the mint green dress is beautiful! I’ve been searching for clothing in that color all spring, and so far I’ve picked up pants, but not much more! Maybe this weekend I’ll find some time to do a little browsing. πŸ˜‰ Second, I LOVE the photo of you and Sandro! You look so free and happy! Candid shots like that warm my heart. ❀

I'm so glad to hear that you're loving rest week! It sounds like it's been a really "centering" experience, and I love the idea of making extra time to do the activities that bring us happiness. And yay for fried eggs! They're one of my favorite foods, too! Especially with avocado and sweet potato. Mmmm.

All of your Berlin photos are making me want to go back! It's such a beautiful city…Want to meet me there next month? πŸ˜‰

And finally, thank you so much for the link love!! I can't wait for you to try the pizza! Huge hugs, and happy weekend! ❀ xoxo

    • Oh I want to see these green pants! Take a pic and post, mmk?
Oh, fried eggs with Avocado and Sweet Potato is just heavenly.
Are you serious??? Are you in Europe next month? Where? WHEN???

  12. Hi Lucie! I just started following your blog the other day and I’ve been enjoying reading your archives! I have nominated you for a Liebster Award! Come on over to see what it’s all about!

  13. nadja says:

these dresses are beautiful! I can’t wait for spring to really come (without rain please) and for summer, since when I was in Austria last week I spent wayyyy to much money on spring and summer clothes and now I just can’t wear them which makes me really sad!
I also love that picture of you and Sandro (and the dress you’re wearing).
I’m really glad you’re appreciating the Rest Week and the Whole 30 πŸ™‚ have a great weekend xx

    • Oh how exciting for your Austria shopping trip! I will go to Spain with 4 of my girls end of May and I know I will also spend tons of money for summer clothes πŸ™‚ Have a wonderful weekend, I hope the sun reached Geneva too today!

  14. Greta says:

    Awesome post, Lucie!!!
Sorry I’ve been MIA; managed to travel to Paris and back during this time πŸ™‚
Gosh, those dresses! Love your dresses (your favorite one is gorgeous!)!! Love my dresses! Any dresses!!! That is what separates us from the boys πŸ˜€
And man, I’ve missed your food! So good to hear that you are doing awesomely with the Whole30. You rock, girl!!

  15. LOVE your dress! You dress so FABULOUS, I need some styling tips from you! I love all of your photos, you look beautiful! I love dresses since I love being a girl and dressing up πŸ™‚ Although if I had to cycle I would probably wear tights underneath or skirt with tights something of the sort since I can only imagine cycling with a dress must be somewhat difficult. Sending you FUN this weekend! Love + Shine CourtStar

  16. Love that backless green dress! Adorable

  17. I’ve never heard that game called heaven and hell before. We called ours cootie catchers or fortune tellers. I may like heaven and hell better… but that probably wouldn’t have been allowed in school where we always made ours πŸ˜€

  18. LOVE the dresses…hate the bodies on those models! YOU on the otherhand would look SOOOOO much better in them! That dress of yours is gorgeous and I could totally see that mic in a magazine advertisement for clothing…for serious! Dresses trump pants ANYDAY! I can see your frustration when biking, but I’m ALL about an excuse to get out of wearing something with a waistband! In the summer, I practically live in sundresses and flip flops (yeah, I have a thing about shoes too…so constricting! Lol)

Those eggs! That SHRIMP!! Omg, deeeeeeelicious!!

We used to play that game as a kid all the time…I’m pretty sure we called it a “talker”. My favorite game as a child? Hmm, probably Candy Land…or Trouble….of course I always wished I had a Mall Madness game! Lol

    • Awe thanks Darling and I am with you – Summer is made for dresses and FlipFlops! I can not get over that we shouldn’t wear FlipFlops in the office – WHO CARES?? And yes, I totally agree that the model is way too skinny. I think WE should present all the dresses – on a bike, hahaha!! πŸ™‚

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. β€š'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
