Happy Monday!

MIMM Celebration is taking a new round, so head over to Katie’s blog and make sure to make your Monday marvelous too!

So let’s start with some weekend marvelousness. It was a really good one with tons of events and fun. Saturday I took a RESTDAY – notice that, I will talk about my workout addiction and struggle with restdays in another post. I did make sure that I am distracted so Sandro, me and my friend Simone drove over the border to Germany to do some fantastic and cheap grocery shopping. It is almost hilarious how much cheaper the stuff is over there. I did buy cosmetics like a flipping crazy woman, because it all was SO cheap – I was in dreamland, heaven, paradise, all in one!!

IMG_3097After tearing me away from the Beautyzone, we headed over to the Whole Foods store. I was one happy girl again, aaaaaalll this good food!!!

We headed back home to load up the fridge and stock up the pantries. What waited then, made me going blah and tired……studying.

IMG_3098Well, at least I got 2,5 hours in before I went for a little walk and did some foam rolling and stretching at home. Totally love this routine here, and with some ocean wave sound in the back it makes me feel like I am almost there….

Our Beach down the house in Spain.....

Our Beach down the house in Spain…..

We were invited to our first barbecue this year!! It was way TOO cold to sit outside, but that did not keep us from throwing some good stuff on the grill. Ok, let’s be honest, the guys were taking care of the meat outside and us girls were sitting inside, chatting and sipping on some champagne and munching veggies πŸ™‚

I am totally sorry for the vegetarians out there. Just skip this part, some unfortunate pictures will appear!

Yup, there you have it, I am a red meat lover! There’s nothing wrong with chicken, but to some red meat once in a while I never say no.

It was SUCH a funny evening. I can not remember when I laughed so hard the last time, but we had so many silly talks and I was just bursting in tears every minute. Gotta love good evenings, with good friends, good food and good champagne!!

Sunday morning, Sandro and me went for a run, the first time in the forest this year!! I absolutely LOVED it. It is a great route with all kinds of strength circuit stations in between which makes such a perfect workout.

We went for a bit more than an hour and had to hurry with showering, since we already had ANOTHER invitation from friends, this time for brunch.

IMG_3106 IMG_3107 IMG_3108I am not sure, but I think I ate the whole pineapple and salmon myself. Whoooops!

What is better than to come in to a warm home, fresh from workout and sit down to have all this good food? I feel really privileged. We had a great morning/lunchtime with them and then headed off to Zurich later in the afternoon. I spent the rest of the day with some mealprep and blogging, hanging around lazy …….

IMG_3088My meal ideas for next week:

Monday: Chicken Frittata with Broccoli (Lunch) / Hummus&Cauliflower Frittata (Dinner)

Tuesday: Big Salad Bowl with roasted Tofu and Chickpeas (Lunch)/Β Pumpkin Chilli Mexican Scramble (Dinner)

Wednesday: Sweet Potato Tortilla&big green salad(Lunch)

Thursday: Chicken Thigh Muffins&Veggies (Lunch)/ Asparagus&Coconut Giant Prawns (Dinner)

Friday: Lunch: Big Salad with smoked trout and eggs / Dinner: out

Roast up some veggies in curried coconut milk……

Flip around with a chicken-eggwhite-frittata on the other side….

….throw it all together and call it a meal.

Dinner was lazy too. You hardly ever find me in a take away shop, but yesterday I really had no energy to cook dinner besides all the meal prep. I went for a simple Take Away Greek Salad.

Weekend is over and we start into the new week – have a good one!

Do you like outdoor workouts?Β

Any good food you enjoyed on the weekend?Β

Lalala! Your post is not showing on the READER! Gosh, evil wordpress is playing tricks on me again – hate missing post of my favorite blogs!

And thank you for sharing your awesome weekend – you are one busy bee, girl! Loved it all! Especially the foods – hihihi, I’m not being original here. πŸ˜€

Outdoor workouts – nope! Well maybe if it’s yoga…

I’ve missed your blog so much during my break! Everything looks amazing as usual and I’m so happy to see you still have a ton of fun things happening and of course, killer workouts πŸ™‚

  3. I took a rest day on Saturday, too!…and it is SO rare for me to “rest” on a weekend! Rest days are MUCH needed though!

Yay for barbecues!! Summer is right around the corner…I just know it! πŸ˜‰

  4. Looks like a fab weekend! I too struggle with rest days, but love to stretch and foam roll on those days. Happy MIMM!

  5. Beauty products on sale? Oh my… I’d be in heaven as well! Your weekend looks like it was absolutely amazing. I spent the majority of mine hiding in my house trying to avoid the nasty weather outside. Brr. BUT! on the plus side, I managed to get a lot of baking done and did a lot of delicious taste testing while I was at it – blueberry banana muffins are the new loves of my life.

    Happy Monday, love!

    • Yes, and the great thing is that it wasn’t even on sale it is always that cheap! It just takes a little effort to get there but it’s all wort it.
Oh yes, I saw that muffin on your blog today you made me droool!! πŸ™‚

  6. Sounds like such a fun weekend! Good for you for taking that rest day, especially if they’re hard for you. The brunch looks so fun and I’m glad you were able to spend quality time with friends πŸ™‚

  7. Lisa says:

Wow all your eats look fantastic!! Yum.
I’m a beauty buyer-holic. Does that make sense? ha. I love when my favorite or even not so favorite things go on sale, I go wild.
Your weekend sure does sound marvelous!
You sound like you were a busy girl too!
I actually am not a huge fan of outdoor workout. I don’t lie bugs, or rain, or dirt, or wind. I’m super fun hah. High maintenance over here πŸ˜‰

  8. Looks like a busy, but fabulous weekend! Anytime there’s smoked salmon around, I absolutely attack it too…I love it! And I never turn down a good chunk of red meat – so good.

  9. Such fun! It is always great to celebrate with others.

Looks like you had a super-fun weekend! The trail where you ran are beautiful! I love outdoor workouts, they’re usually fun & fly by especially with great scenery! I made an insanely good omlette for dinner over the weekend, I’m already looking forward to when I can have it again πŸ˜‰ Happy Monday Lucie!

  11. Ana says:

hey there!! such a nice weekend…! it’s been ages, since I had fun like that… There are a few friends, yes, but we are always so tired from the curricular training during the week, that when we get to the weekend, we just want to lay down, rest, sleep… you know x)

Like you, I still struggle a lot with exercising… or rather – with NOT exercising =P Sometimes even the smallest run would be better than doing nothing… I wish I could do my workouts outside – specially run, but I’m so sensitive to the cold that if I don’t do it while it’s sunny and hot, I won’t be able to finish ;( I’m visiting a doctor for that now, hope we can understand what’s happening and help me here πŸ™‚

    Have a nice week πŸ˜‰

    • I love lazy weekend just as much. Most of my weekends are a ctually lazy but once in a while some fun is neede! Sorry to hear you can’t do outoor workouts, hope for you that your doctor finds out what’s wrong.

  12. Danielle says:

Looks like you had an amazing weekend you busy bee. You are also very lucky with all that lovely food! I must say I would prefer outdoor workouts if it wasn’t always so cold and rainy here as I love getting outside when I can! Love your meal planning list…I like to see what others eat and how they plan what to eat…
    Look forward to more updates…

  13. I want to move to Switzerland so that I can just *hop* over the border to Germany on the weekends! Can I move in with you? πŸ˜‰ You Europeans are so lucky! It takes DAYS to drive anywhere outside of the US! Haha. I love the beauty bargains you found–my German exchange sister looooves that cashmere cream! I haven’t seen it here, but she let me use some of hers when I visited, and it was wonderful.

The rest of your weekend sounds like so much fun!! Dinner parties with friends are the best–especially when they involve tons of laughter and delicious red meat. πŸ˜‰ Oh yes. I love my red meat, too. Chicken is pretty blah, in my opinion, but I eat it because it’s easy and goes with everything. Red meat is so much more satisfying, though! Brunch looks amazing, too! I would have eaten all of the pineapple and smoked salmon, too–they were definitely the best things on that table!

I love working out outdoors, but only when the weather is nice. I’m a wimp! πŸ˜‰

Hope you had a lovely Monday, Lucie! ❀ xoxo

    • Oh yes pleeeeeeeease come here!!! The guest room is ready for you!! πŸ™‚
I must say that cashmere lotion i saw and bought the first time and I LOVE it. It was so cheap too!
Yay for red meat and I am totally more a friend of nice weather too. Sometimes there just is no choice and I have to go out , boooh πŸ™‚

  14. Aww, that pic of you outside the natural market is priceless! A smile of a true foodie! πŸ˜‰ You had one amazing (and delicious) weekend, girlie! That brunch looks amazing! And like you said, what a great meal to follow up a great workout!

Love the posed “meat” picture! Couldn’t help but laugh out loud at that one! And aww, that one of you with your study books…*sad face*! I totally remember those days and don’t miss them one bit! Just remember, you won’t be banished to the books forever! It’ll be over one day and you’ll get to spend your weekends doing LOTS more shopping and eating delicious food! πŸ˜€

  15. That is the COOLEST trail I have ever seen in my life! I wish they had that in LA! What a neat idea posting workout ideas throughout the trails. We have tons of neat hiking spots but nothing like that. I will make suggestions ASAP! Looks like you have an amazing weekend filled with fun times πŸ™‚ I love how you can cross a border and get stuff cheaper, I sure do wish we had that here! I have to order everything online unless I want to pay through the nose. I love outdoors workouts especially since the weather is getting warmer, you will find me outdoors! Love + Shine CourtStar

    • I know, I love that trail too, especially all the natural equipment!! It’s s Swiss campaign and we have these in the forests all over the country, really cool.
Yay for outdoor workouts and warmer weather! I am SO thankful that the winter is almost gone!

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves.
