Marvelous in my Monday!

11. March 2013 by swissfitchick

Hey, y’all!!!

My favorite campaign is happening today hosted by one of my favorite blogger diva.

How was your weekend? I feel almost bad to talk about mine, it was SO boring (which is a good thing, at least for me). I did have some exciting plans, but sometimes things change and you end up low key right? Fine with me. I started the weekend off on Friday morning after the Booty Call run, breakfast and cleaning my appartement. I went to the gym over lunch time where I had a workout date with an old gym-friend-buddy, Oli, and we rocked GRIT Strength – always so much fun and sweat.

Thanks to my meal prep freakness, I had salmon, coconutmilk-broccoli and mashed beans ready at home to throw into a Nori sheet. MMmmh.

I travelled to Zurich later in the day and floated into the start of my weekend. OH! No. There is one thing that scratches the harmony of this light hearted feeling of being unpledged. Sorry, can I just break the moment and say SORRY? But this is what I feel when I see the pile of study-paper in my bag….

FotoYeah. No more words for this. Studying is over on March 25th and I will use nice words from then on.

But besides that, Sandro and me had a movie date night on Friday and saw – a_good_way_to_die_hard_5-wide

It was good to be out with my man since that did not happen in too long. Also, we knew that Saturday he would be off for playing Ice-Hockey and I would f****ng studying.

Can we just skip Saturday? Nothing exciting happened anyway.

Oh wait!! I did some baking!! YES! I wanted to bake Kims Ricotta Breakfast Cookies, but did not have all the ingredients on hand, so I adapted it a bit and threw these things together:

Dried plums (chopped), glutenfree Jumbo Oats, Vanilla Stevia, 3 eggwhites, grated coconut, coconutmilk, PerfectFit Protein Powder

And they came out like this:

They taste really good and are a great snack or a breakfast with some Yogurt.

Since I knew that if I stop baking I would need to start studying, I just continued….

TIU Banana Bread

I baked the PerfectFit Banana Bread from Tone it Up……mmmmmh.

Ok, YES, I did study in the afternoon and also in the evening. Not without a break at the lake….

….and dinner in between….

IMG_3043I also had a bowl of Almond Butter with Cocoa Powder and Honey for a late dessert but it looked so ugly I could not dare to take a shot and even less post it here.

As I went to bed early I was bright and awake at shortly before 8 on Sunday. After meditation I switched on You Tube and just picked random videos from, and I created a Playlist on YouTube with my fave videos so it is super-easy to find the ones I want and to get started right away. I went with HIIT, a bit of TRX and some booty, arms and abs toning very randomly.

And everything on my new Yoga Mat Sandro brought home! I love it, it reminds me of summer.

Breakfast was calling soon after….I wanted to try my bakings and wasn’t disappointed! Paired with a sweet healthy cream it was the perfect postworkout fuel.

Jessie promised me to send some sun over from Kuwait and we got it. Despite the bad weather forecast the weather was lovely and BESIDE SOME STUDYING Sandro and me went for a walk, did some grocery shopping and sat in the coffee to read newspaper.

Until it was time for dinner.

How can anything seem low when those pictures speak – MARVELOUS to me! Yummy foods, boy movie (gosh I go to those only because of my bf, he does the same for romances and comedies, I guess) and cool workouts – awesome weekend, hun!!
Also, you’ve got some guns in there, girl!! Fabulous!
Last night I saw a movie “Movie 43” This one funny and shocking at the same time – you don’t wanna know why…
And, god, I hope to have a real LOW weekend at the end of this week! I need some days of doing nothing at all!!

    • Haha, I have to say I actually love some of the boy movies especially when they include Bruce Willis 🙂
Oh girl I pray for you that you have a BORING low key weekend this time!!

  7. Lisa says:

    Sweet potato tortilla sounds awesome!

  8. slimsanity says:

All your eats look so good!!

  9. I wish I could do push-up like do. No matter how much I try and how much I work on my arms, I can’t do even a normal girl push-up.

    • Oh, maybe you need to strengthen the shoulder and arm part with light dumbells first…push ups are pretty heavy, don’t worry too much if it’s difficult in the beginning….I had that too!

  10. Nadja says:

look at that picture of you doing a push up! Your arms are amazing and well, i still can’t do more than 3 pushups on my feet… but i know one day i will 😉
Pretty much the same weekend for me, studying and working out, plus going out with some friends (otherwise i would have been stuck at home all weekend). I loved your tabata workout, try it on sunday and it was great! Can’t wait for tuesday recipes 🙂 Happy Monday!

  11. Looks like your weekend was FUN! I know you said it was low key but a bake-a-thon is a fun time for me 😉 I just looked up where I can buy Nori sheets I had forgotten how much I LOVED a nori sheet with some fresh veggies wrapped inside! Your yoga mat is beautiful, I think a nice yoga mat is essential especially for meditation. Last movie I saw was Sex and the City since it was on E! this afternoon while I was working + I love a nice low key weekend especially when friends + your man are involved 🙂 Have a great night! Love + Shine CourtStar

  12. Mmmmm! Those cookies (and the bread) look fantastic! But I seriously think those cookies need to find their way over here to the states sometime verrrrry soon! *hint hint wink wink*

Sorry school is sucking, babe! Only a few more weeks! Let the f&%#$# countdown begin! Lol

I’m a total homebody so I kinda like low-key weekends…besides most weeks, it feels like I’m go go go the entire time, so it’s nice to get time to rest when I’m off!

Last movie I saw was “The Switch” with Jennifer Anniston and Jason Bateman…I found it on Netflix on Friday after my surgery and watched it with my mama!

PS, I always see you post your little Nori wraps on here and I just want you to know that you’ve totally inspired me to whip out my own and get creative! I’m thinking that might have to happen for lunch tomorrow! 😀

    • Er…..cookies….way to you….hmmmm. Cookies can not walk, and….ugh..? Er. OOOOOH!!!! GOT IT!! Haha, I am SO SMART. 🙂
Oh I am glad I inspired you and I know you will present the Chef recipe with the Nori Sheets! I am in LOVE with them and switch up the filling all the time, so convenient and delicious!

Who thought I would ever write again. Link in Bio. ‚'In essence, love is the consistent embodiment of care, compassion, kindness, and joy toward yourself, your partner, and each other as two interconnected and supported beings. If you encounter those feelings, you can't work around your own vulnerability.

But: there is one emotion that is stronger than fear, and that is forgiveness. For power is never simply a possession but an exercise; power is about how we understand ourselves. If we can forgive, we can let go. If we can let go, we can detach. If we can detach, we find happiness.' #blogger #heartstories #detachment #happiness
