Happy Monday everyone!!
Monday means it’s MIMM time, we celebrate Marvelous in My Monday thanks to the lovely Katie!!
I hope you had a great start into the new week. Weatherwise it seems like a rough week is ahead – rain, snow and minus degrees! Well, it’s wintertime, so not too much of a surprise.
My weekend was good. Saturday was very busy! Before we headed off to Basel, we had to help a friend moving. I think no one likes to do that, but we all get to the point when we need help by carrying around furniture. That’s what friends are for too, right?
Fueling for a long day: eggomelett (1 egg, 2 whites), spinach, cherry tomatoes
Even though we sneaked out in the second round. I needed to be in Basel on time as I had to get ready for the Christmas Race!! The weather was PERFECT. It was about 10 degrees, so quite warm and no rain. My time was not the best, but it was my fault. I did not study the route before and did not realize that the finish came so soon! I could have been faster, but oh well. It was SO nice to run in the dark and running under the beautiful christmas lighting. The streets were packed with people cheering and it was like a big party. Sandro stood on the side too, cheering, drinking beer and taking pictures of me 🙂
I added some SweatPink stuff to my outfit – best chance to spread the sweatpink joy as an ambassador, right?? My start time was 5:53pm, I ran with a time of 27:51 for 5,5km.
I will run another Xmas race on December 16 in Zurich, 8.6km I will hopefully do better there!

I was excited as I sent this picture to the ladies from Fit Approach and they published it for all the SPA sisters on Facebook and Twitter! So cool! I used the pink shoelace as a hairband, just wanted some pink in my hair too! 🙂
After the race we cycled to my best friend’s place. He and his girlfriend invited us for dinner and it was just perfect. I had a shower and then floated right into pre-dinner drinks and then dinner, so nice! They served whole-grain wraps with shrimps, chicken, guacamole and salad. Is there a better fuel after such an active day??? But I could just see how my stomach got upset about crème fraiche, bread and prosecco. Nevermind, it was a funny and fantastic evening with friends, I loved it! And I will not entirelly cut out things I like.
Sunday was an easy day. We slept in till 10am (yay!!) which was SO good. It was much needed! It’s just not very easy to walk or take the stairways currently. My muscles are SO sore especially from climbing stairs about 20 times when moving! It looks really strange when I walk right now….very entertaining I guess 🙂
Despite soreness I prepared a new TRX workout to start today. I got it from Shannon, she’s a Sweat Pink Ambassador too and I got in touch with her over the community. I found this workout on her blog, and WOW, it’s kick-ass!!!! It really challenges me but it’s fun, and I can feel it. Shannon is a personal coach and I will get some virtual workout coaching from her during January, can’t wait!! I am sure it’s going to be tough, but I love to learn more and more and being challenged!
