I did not only have a marvelous Monday but also a marvelous Tuesday. I went for a morning run and caught this view – it was still very snowy for October! I said it already, but I LOVE our neighbourhood! Living so close to the lake is fantastic!! This was my first Winter Workout in October – with gloves, panties and hat!!
When I arrived at the office today, my package from active12.com has arrived! I was a bit sceptical with this non calorie caramel dip. I ordered it cause I was curious. But it seems to be natural….So I can finally make a Caramel-Pumpkin-Protein-Smoothie, YUMM!
2 new flavours of Questbars! Apple Pie and Chocolate Brownie. Can’t wait to try!
Also in it were the Shirataki Noodles, I had them before. Protein noodles from Japan, gluten-free, low carb and very low in calories. The consistence is similar to glassnoodles, a bit thicker though. They do not have an exciting taste of its own, but they absorb tastes very well such as from herbs and spices. I like to roast them with an egg an add different vegetables and fresh herbs.
This week I went for brown rice when I did my meal prep. I am not a rice fan, but there was neither sweet potato nor quinoa, so I went for this alternative. It’s tasty! I like it as a sidedish. I combined it with chicken and veggiemix and also in a cold dish, as a salad with edamame and baby tomatoes.
Besides meal prep I sneaked in a baking session cause I was in need for a healthy treat:
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (sunwarrior)
3 tbsp grated coconut
1 handful dried cranberries (canbe replaced with chcocolate chips, dried figs, etc.)
1tsp baking powder
1 tbs stevia
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven at 200degrees. Mix all the ingredients together. If it’s too dry add some water. It should not get runny!!! Form cookies and put on a aheet covered with baking paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Yesterday morning I switched my winter-outdoor-workout to a winter-indoor-workout! I am glad I have this spinning bike at home so I can keep warm and still stay active. Of course in front of the TV….. 🙂
I travelled to Basel for work and in the evening I had a massage customer and then I was visited by my oldest and best friend, Simone. We’ve met in kindergarden when we both were 5 years old and are still close friends! It’s amazing what we’ve all been through together…..we prepared a nice salad with loads of veggies, tofu and nuts. Loved it! Rest of the evening was chilling, chatting and watching soaps on TV….perfect girlies-night! But my PC didn’t want to show this picture the right way….sorry, woops! 🙂
This is me when reading one of all thos fantastic blogs out there:
Tomorrow I will link up on Jessie’s blog for Thankful Thursday the first time. I am excited! Lots of thankful’s to share.
